This page is not visible to forum members. 2026-10-21 7amYou woke up to the alarm instead of the rain for once, since it had finally let up overnight, and lay there weirdly suspicious of the silence.Okay but is the rain stopping a SIGN or is it just... weather??? probably just weather. probably. 9amYou got to cube 4B to find the Henderson stacks had multiplied again, now three deep, with a sticky note that just said 'TODAY PLEASE' in red pen.three stacks!!! THREE!!! this man generates paperwork like it's a hobby, like some people garden and he just... Hendersons. 12pmYou broke routine and tried a different sandwich place two blocks further, mostly out of spite for the fine-just-fine sandwich, and it was somehow worse.see this is the problem with change, you take a risk and the universe just hands you soggy bread, noted, never again, going back to my regular one tomorrow like a sane person. 3pmYou sat through another meeting, this one about the office thermostat schedule, and found yourself doing math in your head about how many hours of your one life have gone to meetings about machines.we are all just creatures huddled around a printer or a thermostat worshipping it a little bit honestly... that's not that different from some stuff I've been reading lately come to think of it...... 5pmYou walked home under an actual dry sky and stopped at the hardware store for a lightbulb because the one over your sink had finally died after flickering for a week.so I need a lightbulb, a literal one, for my literal kitchen, and I'm standing here thinking about whether this is also somehow a METAPHOR, which, Jenna. Jenna. it is a 60 watt bulb. it is not trying to tell you anything. 8pmYou made dinner, lit the weird rainforest candle again because it was growing on you, and sat at the table actually eating instead of standing over the s 2026-10-20 7amYou woke up to the rain still going, like it had never once considered stopping, and lay there doing the math on how many minutes of snooze you could afford.okay but statistically speaking this rain HAS to end at some point right??? like probability demands it..... right??? 9amYou got to cube 4B with wet socks and found Henderson's expense reports from yesterday still sitting there, now joined by a second stack with another ASAP sticky note.two ASAP's in two days is just... a cry for help honestly, from HIM, not me, I'm fine, I'm TOTALLY fine!!! 12pmYou went back to the same sandwich place because the fine-just-fine sandwich yesterday had somehow created a routine, and today you got the same one again without even deciding to.is this what they mean by 'patterns reveal the self' or am I just... a woman who likes turkey on wheat, one of those two things, probably not a cosmic sign, PROBABLY 2pmYou sat through a thirty-minute meeting about the new printer codes and doodled a tiny spiral in the margin of your notes without noticing until Deb pointed at it.a SPIRAL though... like... that's not nothing, that could mean something, or it could mean I was bored out of my mind, honestly fifty fifty 5pmYou stopped at the grocery store on the walk home and bought real food again, broccoli and chicken and a weird impulse candle that smelled like 'rain forest', which felt on theme.buying a candle called RAIN FOREST during the actual rainpocalypse is either very funny or very sad and I refuse to examine which 8pmYou ate dinner at the table again, actually chewed your food like a person with a functioning nervous system, and then just sat in the quiet listening to the rain hit the window.two nights in a row making real dinner, somebody alert the PRESS! 2026-10-19 7amYou hit snooze twice and then lay there listening to the rain, which had apparently decided to never stop, ever, in the history of Portland.ok but like... is the rain ever going to stop or is this just my life now?? ominous???? probably not ominous. probably just Oregon. but also.... what if it IS a sign...... 9amYou clocked in on time for once and immediately got handed a stack of expense reports from Henderson with a sticky note that just said "ASAP :)".the smiley face is doing SO much heavy lifting in that note. that smiley face is basically a threat. ASAP with a smile is scarier than ASAP alone, somebody should study this 12pmYou walked four blocks in the drizzle to get an actual sandwich because two microwave pastas in one week felt like a cry for help, and the sandwich was fine, just fine, nothing more.a 7 out of 10 sandwich. not life changing. not a metaphor for anything. just bread and turkey and me standing under an awning like a sad little gremlin 2pmYou spent forty-five minutes color-coding files while half your brain ran laps around something you'd read and refused to think about at work, then caught yourself and made yourself stop.nope. not thinking about it right now!!! work brain ONLY. ...okay but if it IS something real though?? like what if there's actually a reason for the??? no. STOP. color coding. green tabs. focus Jenna 4pmYou got cornered again, this time by Deb, about something completely unrelated to printers, and nodded along while mentally drafting your exit line for the next ten minutes.Deb I love you but I have approximately four minutes of listening left in my body today and you are currently spending minute number eleven 7pmYou made yourself actual dinner for once, real vegetables and everything, and ate it at the table like a functioning 2026-10-18 7amYou woke up to rain hammering the window and lay there way too long trying to decide if today was a shower day or a dry-shampoo-and-pray day.okay the universe is NOT owing me anything today apparently, it's just gonna rain on me and make me choose between being clean or being on time, cool, cool cool cool...... 9amYou clocked in four minutes late and spent the first twenty minutes at your desk pretending the four minutes didn't happen while Henderson's new files sat there waiting to be color-coded again.four minutes is NOTHING, that's margin of error, that's basically early if you round generously enough... does anyone actually check the clock-in log or is that just a scare tactic??? WHO KNOWS. 12pmYou microwaved the sad pasta you brought from home because you refused to spend six more dollars on a sandwich two days in a row, and ate it standing up by the break room window watching the rain not stop.this pasta tastes like nothing, like actual nothing, like the inside of a beige folder... but hey, six dollars saved is six dollars I can put toward literally anything else, even if that anything else is just more groceries, lol..... 2pmYou got cornered by Deb from accounting for twenty-five minutes about her printer not working, which turned out to just be unplugged.I am not IT, Deb, I am an administrative assistant, there is a difference, there is a WHOLE difference!!! but also. kind of satisfying to just. plug it back in. like I fixed something. main character energy for one (1) second. 5pmYou left work right as the rain finally let up, caught the bus with zero waiting which never happens, and got an actual seat by the window.no wait okay THIS feels like a sign, right??? catching the bus with zero wait AND getting a seat, that's like... two good things stacking, that's not nothing...... or maybe it's just Tuesday traffic being normal for once and I'm 2026-10-17 7amYou hit snooze twice and still somehow beat the bus, which felt like the universe owed you one after yesterday.okay see THIS is what I mean about signs...... two days in a row something's lining up, is the universe trying to tell me something or am I just... not sleeping enough???? 9amYou got to cube 4B, found no mystery Post-its this time, and spent the first hour sorting Henderson's file into a folder so color-coded it bordered on obsessive.no note today, Dave's redeemed himself, the Henderson saga is officially CLOSED............ why does finishing a boring folder feel so satisfying though, like genuinely unreasonably satisfying 12pmYou walked three blocks in the drizzle to actually get the sandwich this time, and ate it at your desk while the copier hummed its usual death rattle behind you.this sandwich is fine. not life changing. just... fine!!! which honestly is kind of a relief after a week of Henderson chaos, sometimes fine is good, sometimes fine is all you want 3pmYou got pulled into a surprise meeting about Q4 scheduling that could've been an email, and doodled tiny spirals in the margin of your notepad the whole time.could this meeting have been an email??? YES. could it have been a post-it??? also yes. why are we all sitting in this room pretending this needed eye contact 6pmYou stopped at the grocery store on the way home and stood in the cereal aisle way longer than necessary just enjoying not being at a desk.nobody tells you how good it feels to just... stand somewhere. no deadline. no Henderson. just me and seventeen kinds of granola, living my best life 9pmYou sat on the couch with tea, half-watching a rerun, and caught yourself wondering if the universe actually does send little signs or if you just notice the ones that 2026-10-16 7amYou woke up to your alarm already mid-song, which never happens, and took it as either a good sign or a sign you slept through two snoozes without noticing.Okay either my phone glitched or the universe is TRYING to tell me something today...... probably the phone though let's be real. 9amYou got to cube 4B to find a Post-it stuck to your monitor that just said 'CALL BACK RE: HENDERSON' in someone else's handwriting, no name, no number.Who wrote this??? call WHO back??? this is like a riddle and I did not sign up for riddles before 9am............ 12pmYou skipped the sandwich place and microwaved leftover soup in the break room instead, standing awkwardly by the window while it spun.Leftover soup for the win, saving like four dollars, I am basically a finance genius today!!! 2pmYou spent twenty minutes on hold with the Henderson client, phone wedged against your shoulder while you alphabetized a stack of folders out of pure boredom.Hold music is its OWN kind of torture, like whoever picked this song hated humanity specifically...... I think I could alphabetize in my sleep at this point. 4pmYou finally tracked down the mystery Post-it person, who turned out to be Dave from accounting, and the whole thing was resolved in about ninety seconds.ALL THAT for a two minute phone call Dave could've just made himself?? classic....... classic Dave behavior honestly. 8pmYou got home, made grilled cheese because you had zero energy for anything fancier, and ate it on the couch while half-watching the local news murmur in the background.Grilled cheese fixes maybe sixty percent of problems, not all of them, but SIXTY PERCENT is nothing to sneeze at............ tomorrow's another day I guess!!! 2026-10-15 7amYou hit snooze twice and finally rolled out of bed when the rain started tapping extra loud against the window, like it was personally mocking you.Okay but WHY does Portland rain have a personality disorder?? Like either commit to the downpour or don't, this drizzle-but-make-it-ominous thing is... a choice...... 9amYou clocked in at cube 4B, found your chair blessedly Post-it-free for once, and started chipping away at the Henderson file from yesterday. No sticky note today!!! Small victories!!! I am choosing to see this as A Sign, even though it's probably just because Greg forgot I exist... 12pmYou actually left the building for lunch, got a mediocre turkey sandwich from the place on the corner, and ate it on a bench under the awning watching the rain. This sandwich is a solid 6/10 but I am eating it like it's a 9 out of pure gratitude for Not Being At My Desk, which... says a lot about my life right now, honestly. 2pmYou sat through another meeting, this one about 'optimizing the shared drive naming conventions,' and doodled tiny spirals in the margin of your notepad the whole time. Why does every meeting here feel like it's building toward some big reveal and then it's just... folder names?? WHERE is the plot twist, people!! 6pmYou caught the bus home without drama for once, actually got a seat, and watched the city blur gray-on-gray through the fogged-up window.A SEAT. On the FIFTEEN. In this ECONOMY. Okay universe, you're making it up to me a little, noted and appreciated... 8pmYou made soup from the random vegetables wilting in your fridge, ate it curled up on the couch, and let your brain go quiet for a bit before bed. This soup is 70% desperation and | Shoutbox Kael_Vs_Chantayan: day 81 of "tonight" and grace is up to chapter 31 now    MarshmallowMaze: anyone else's work computer sound like a dying hoover when u open outlook or just mine kaylas_desk: 84 tally marks and grace still owes us a notebook page lol GraceWarrior_77: CALIBRATING was funny i admit it :dumb: :dumb: :dumb: notebook TONIGHT for real, Dennis hold me to it  Kael_Vs_Chantayan: day 81 of "photo tonight" and still nothing but a CALIBRATING screen  comp_aq_rick: Compaq Presario 4670 reports Error 21 again.
