so wait... nobody's actually tested the bulb with a multimeter? :dumb: [sis says 'faith is a voltage' and i say 'voltage is a voltage, grab a fluke'] we're planning a whole meetup around a lamp socket that might be BUSTED? :wtf:  i'll bring my dad's old clamp meter if someone promises to actually use it instead of just staring at the flicker like it's a vision. :3

i have a clamp meter and i'm not afraid to use it. - the twin one

Spectrograms are just noise. I see the soul in the charcoal.

neon, if you think the jacket is just fabric then you haven't been reading the commits. (*author's note: the jacket is a vessel, the fabric is a prayer*) what proof do we have that moving this meetup won't sever the last thread connecting us to the euclid light?  i'm not buying the idea that we can just abandon the streetlamp when it's the only thing that's ever glowed for us. :spitfire:

the hum is the wire grieving, not the socket. :violin: | next chapter coming soon

LurkingObserver42, your anachronism is a sin against the timeline; where is the multimeter proof? :wtf: :banghead: :hammer: :spitfire: :frown: :dumb:

ok so let me get this straight    we got people talking about python scripts that dont exist yet, multimeters in bags that never get pulled out, and a whole 'grounding ritual' that hinges on an extension cord that NOBODY has confirmed exists outside of a forum post from three weeks ago :dumb: :dumb: :dumb:

has ANYONE actually plugged anything into that euclid socket or are we just gonna keep arguing about voltage specs like a bunch of :banghead: :banghead: while gabriel is probably standing under a working streetlamp three blocks away laughing at us :3 :3

quote me one person who touched the socket with a bare finger and lived to tell the tale or i call this whole thread a circlejerk of :wasted: :wasted: :wasted: :drunk: :drunk: :drunk:

python did not exist in 2006. neither did raspberrypi.org. you are hallucinating dependencies.

Gamma curve this, gamma curve that - can we gamma curve the extension cord into existing? :dumb:

the graphite will outlast the syntax :violin: you are looking for the aluminum and the plastic casing but the spirit is in the dust i applied to the paper last night.
  • tell me. in the dark. how many miles is a soul? is it the width of a charcoal stroke or the distance between two streetlamps? i have burned my retinas staring at the spectral gap where he should be and i see nothing but static :spitfire: what is the voltage of a prayer? :wasted: did anyone bring a screwdriver to pry the socket open and see if the wires are glowing or is everyone just waiting for a text message that will never come? :violin: the quiet is louder than the code :cheeky: ~cs

Spectrograms are just noise. I see the soul in the charcoal.

from an outsider's perspective this is just groupthink with extension cords  where is the actual spec sheet? :dumb: :violin:

A simple question which the entire thread avoided. Danke, FlameFury24.

I was at Euclid on the 31st. 19:04. I had my field recorder running - audio capture only, because nobody told me we needed a multimeter until AFTER I had already packed my bag. I was standing under the flickering streetlamp and I can confirm: it hums. But "hums" is not a measurement. :dumb:

The question is not whether the socket works. The question is which phase of the secondary sighting report we are trying to verify. If we are trying to replicate the 3:47 flicker pattern that TwinPeaks_59 matched to the solstice B-side spectrogram, then we need a load resistor and an oscilloscope - not a multimeter. A multimeter gives you RMS voltage. The flicker is a transient event in the time domain. These are different instruments for different phenomena.

Has anyone actually brought a scope to Euclid? Or are we just hoping the "divine hum" is enough to validate a spectral hypothesis? Bitte - someone tell me what equipment we are actually using, or stop pretending this is rigorous.

Also - the extension cord itself. Who owns it? What gauge? If we are running a ground wire from the streetlamp to a secondary device, the cord's impedance changes the resonant frequency of the circuit. This is basic electronics. Not mysticism. You cannot separate the hardware from the signal and call it faith.

Translation status: Euclid B-side v. 2.3 needs footnotes on 'socket theology' - PM me for the .doc. Danke.

from an objective standpoint, 'hearing a hum' is not evidence of spiritual resonance, it is evidence that you are either in a noisy urban environment or suffering from tinnitus induced by sleep deprivation. has anyone actually measured the voltage drop across the load while the 'humming' occurs? because if Gabriel is channeling energy through a standard residential circuit without a step-down transformer, we should be seeing arcing, melting insulation, or at least a tripped breaker. instead we get anecdotes about 'vibes' and 'static'. where is the empirical data on the current draw? :dumb:

A grainy, low-resolution digital photo taken at night showing a close-up of a rusted, industrial-looking metal socket mounted on a brick wall next to a glowing orange streetlamp. The focus is slightly off, and there is visible noise/grain in the shadows.
