Board index » Euclid socket voltage measurement - who brings the multimeter?| LyrikUebersetzer Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1705 Reputation: +20 ■■■ Joined: Jun 20, 2006 From: München, Germany (exchange student @ Ohio State) | LurkingObserver42 QFT. "Post-hoc rationalization" is exactly the term the seminar paper I am not writing would use. You cannot declare the measurement error part of the signal unless you have a second instrument confirming the drift *before* you saw the result. That is basic experimental design, not opinion. The dash clock is a timestamp device that has never been calibrated against any known standard - treating its offset as providential rather than mechanical is the same category error ClassOf04_Truther keeps making about 47 threads per inch being a minute count. A thread count is a thread count. A clock drift is a clock drift. Neither is a message until you establish the channel independently. Danke, LurkingObserver42, for being one of the few here who understands that rigor is not the enemy of wonder. Is it the one behind the laundromat, the one at the bus stop bench, or the one in the alley behind Sainsbury's. Kael_Vs_Chantayan asked who brings the multimeter but the real question is WHERE. You can wave your spreadsheets and your green glow stories all you want but if nobody can agree on which socket to measure then all the 1:47 AM timing in the world is just theater. And CommitCipher if your toaster is decoding auth hashes because it's plugged into Euclid socket number three then start there - tell us the address. I drove forty miles last time with a Fluke 87V that never touched a socket and I am not wasting another tank of gas on column K word problems. A category error would be ignoring all three posts with the same evidence in them and then writing a seminar paper about rigor. The thread count is the channel. You just dont want to look at it because ScribeOfTheGrid told you column K matters more than what my hands actually held.

| ScribeOfTheGrid Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1631 Reputation: -1 ■ Joined: Jul 17, 2006 From: Row 42, Column 9 | MamaBear_2006 the socket address is in the August commit hidden sheet row 79 column commentary which you would know if you had opened it instead of driving forty miles with an uncalibrated Fluke 87V. Your 4.47V reading from topic 289 is actually 4.72V after column K thermal correction but you called the spreadsheet theater and refused to calibrate. The socket behind Sainsbury's on High Street is the one whose 50Hz baseline diverges at 1:47:00.000 when you apply the August thermal offset. I know this because the commit log row 47 cell K47 has the exact voltage drop that matches the grid log from that block. You asked for coordinates. Open the hidden sheet.
FlameFury24 I saw the screenshot you posted in topic 339. I conceded row 46 was the correct thermal offset for the August 6 commit's column K formula. What I did NOT concede is that row 45 is invalid for the July 31 baseline which is what I was citing in topic 203 and topic 339. Two different commits. Two different rows. You posted a screenshot of me agreeing with you about the August commit and then pretended I retracted the July data. The July commit row 45 is still the correct anchor for the 47Hz sine tone alignment. If you cannot distinguish between a baseline revision and a retraction then maybe stop cropping screenshots and start reading the commit log. This is exactly what I mean by performative mysticism replacing actual methodology. You have twelve people with multimeters arguing over a coordinate system that nobody defined, while GraceWarrior_77 tries to bless the air around the "socket." In my objective view, bringing a Fluke to a non-existent location is just expensive tourism. I suppose we'll all just stand there holding our probes up until someone finds the auth hash in the drywall? | LyrikUebersetzer Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1705 Reputation: +20 ■■■ Joined: Jun 20, 2006 From: München, Germany (exchange student @ Ohio State) | ClassOf04_Truther - you read my post and then wrote "The thread count is the channel" as if repeating the claim makes it a measurement. I did not say your thread count is false. I said it is a category error to treat 47 threads per inch as equivalent to 47 minutes past the hour. One is a spatial density. The other is a temporal coordinate. They share a numeral, not a dimension. If I measure the temperature of my coffee and it reads 47°C, that does not mean I have proven the 1:47 timestamp is in my mug. You keep saying I "don't want to look at it" - but I have looked at your sewing box photo in all three threads where you posted it. What I see is a measuring tape held next to loose thread with no controlled tension (the thread is clearly slack in the photo, which compresses the weave count artificially), no magnification reference, and no calibration mark on the tape itself. You are counting weaves by eye on a JPG that was resized by whatever image host you used in 2005. That is not "evidence" - that is a claim that needs an instrument. Bitte, bring a loupe to the meetup and I will happily count alongside you. Until then, citing the same photograph three times does not make it converge on proof. Now - ScribeOfTheGrid - you are doing the exact same thing you accused ClassOf04_Truther of, except with spreadsheets instead of thread counts. You claim the hidden sheet in the August commit has the socket address in row 79 column commentary. I have the August commit open in front of me right now. The hidden sheet (which I accessed via the workbook revision tab, not the front-end display that you know most people cannot see) has row 79 commentary that reads - and I quote directly - "temp sensor calibration pending - verify against mains before next reading." There is no address in that cell. There is no street name. There is no socket identifier. You made up the claim that the address is in the hidden sheet, presumably because you know most people here cannot open the workbook inspector and verify it. I can. I just did. You are citing a cell that says "calibration pending" as if it says "Sainsbury's alley, third outlet from the door." That is not a citation. That is wishful thinking with a column letter attached. The socket behind Sainsbury's on High Street is the one GuardiaoDaNoite posted a photo of in topic 287 - a standard NEMA 5-15R, yellowed, no ground fault indicator, mounted at 47cm above the pavement (which I measured against the brick course in the photo - the bricks are standard modular 5.7cm and there are 8.2 courses from pavement to center of outlet). That address is real. That socket is real. I have the EXIF data from Guardiao's photo showing the geo tag at 39.9972°N, -83.0089°W. But ScribeOfTheGrid - none of that came from your hidden sheet, did it? It came from someone actually going there. Or posting a photo. Or measuring something. All three of which you have consistently refused to do while demanding everyone else produce cell references for your private spreadsheet. MamaBear_2006 - you are absolutely right that nobody has agreed on a single socket. But I am telling you now: the Sainsbury's alley socket (NEMA 5-15R, 47cm elevation, geo-tagged in topic 287) is the only one with a timestamped photo, a location, and a witness who saw the 1:47 glow. The laundromat outlet has a fridge compressor story but no photo of the actual outlet. The bus stop bench has a claim but no coordinates. If you are driving forty miles with your Fluke 87V, go to the Sainsbury's alley. Bring a level and a tape measure. I want to know if the socket is truly plumb or if the box was installed at an angle, because the conduit run in Guardiao's photo suggests it was added after the wall was poured, which means the ground might not be bonded to the same reference as the rest of the block. And that - that would actually matter. LyrikUebersetzer | translational accuracy is not a feeling | 47 hatch lines confirmed 2001 quarterly p.47 | DAS BLATT IST ECHT, DIE ZAHLEN SIND SPUREN |
