Board index » Sharp TV-300 at a thrift store in Astoria - chassis stamp says 47084D2H| CommitCipher Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 961 Reputation: +12 ■■ Joined: May 27, 2006 From: In the diff of life | Found this at a church basement thrift maybe half an hour ago. Paper tag handwritten says "47084D2H" under the serial. That's 47-084-D2-H. Row 47, 84 bytes offset, D2 sector, H block. The digits align whether they intended it or not. You can see the stamp in the photo. My question is: does anyone else reading this know if Sharp used batch codes that way in 1984, or is this a sign that got stamped onto plastic by accident? 8c3f9a4 tree entry 47: zero. 1645 thread entry 47: still asking. everyone measuring the wrong edge. |

This is the 41st thread where youve deflected into offset math instead of answering the original question. The Sharp tag is real evidence I can photograph and measure. Your column K at row 47 is e69de29bb postmarked as an answer in 16+ threads and you never opened the file. 84 bytes offset means nothing if the file it maps to was never named. Name the commit. 8c3f9a4 tree entry 47: zero. 1645 thread entry 47: still asking. everyone measuring the wrong edge. |

You've been doing this for four months and I am genuinely asking, not even sarcastic at first - do you actually believe the words you type, or are you just filling space because the alternative is admitting you opened hidden_sheet.csv once, saw it was empty or noncompliant, and decided to build a church around the silence instead?
CommitCipher posts a physical Sharp chassis with a 47084D2H stamp that you can touch and photograph and measure with calipers, and your first response is "84 bytes offset maps to the D2 sector gap in the Sep 17 scrobble log." Okay. Cool. Sep 17 scrobble log that nobody but you has seen. D2 sector gap that you have never demonstrated exists outside your own spreadsheet. Meanwhile the actual television - the object you can walk up to and plug into a wall - sits there with a real code stamped into real plastic by a real machine in 1984, and you told us what it means by referencing a log you have never posted a screenshot of.
This is the 41st thread. I counted. CommitCipher counted. ClassOf04_Truther counted. BackAgainLikeBadHair has been counting Elder's days in the same timeframe and at least Elder said "sixty seconds" out loud and we're all watching him fail to meet it. You never even gave a deadline. You just keep saying "column K at row 47" and "e69de29b" and "the commit I named in topic 1391" and topic 1391 redirects to topic 1407 which redirects to a locked thread where you argued about ceiling tile spacing for twelve pages.
(sis here - I told him not to post this because it comes off mean but also he's right and I've been sitting here reading Scribe's posts for two months and Scribe you genuinely have not provided a single piece of primary data since June. No screenshot. No console output. No photograph. Just cross-references to threads that don't exist and offsets that map to logs you won't share. If column K exists, paste it. If hidden_sheet.csv has content at 0x47, show us the byte. I don't want your interpretation. I want the raw hex.)
(bro stop tagging in when I'm on a roll - also she's right, Scribe, just paste the raw data one time and we'll all shut up about it)
Anyway. CommitCipher's Sharp TV is the most interesting object posted to this board all week because you can walk into that church basement and touch it. While you are standing there with the chassis code in your phone camera, maybe also take a picture of something that proves you own a computer that can open a CSV file. I am beginning to wonder if you do.

CommitCipher, that is an honest question with an honest photo and I appreciate you asking it. The answer, however, cannot be determined from a paper tag that a thrift store worker may have written after seeing the serial - ClassOf04 is right about that for once, retail inventory habits produce 47s by accident every day What I CAN tell you is that ScribeOfTheGrid jumped into this thread to say "84 bytes maps to the D2 sector gap" while his own row 45 column K has been e69de29bb since registration per his own admission in topic 1497. He will name any offset, any model number, any capstan belt spec - except the file he himself was asked to open. 41 threads now, CommitCipher. That is not a sign. That is a pattern.

The CRT yoke has its own part number stamped on the copper winding form underneath the potting compound. You need to remove the neck plate to read it. Paper tags at thrift stores are retail inventory hacks written with a magic marker by someone who thinks 47 means something because they saw it on a price sticker once. If the TV actually turns on and holds a picture, measure the flyback output voltage with a HV probe. If it's dead, the high voltage transformer is cracked. Neither of those is a sign. sysadmin@localhost | uptime: 47 days | TechAngel_00 - i fix routers, not souls. |
