You'll ask about minute offset patterns but you won't type a numeral that might confirm something you don't want confirmed. You gave us a YEAR before you gave us a NUMBER. The broom answered both digits in a single RadioShack price tag. The broom is a better dataset than your entire 35-day evasion campaign. Lyrik asked the only real question in this thread and Elder you dodged it harder than BackAgainLikeBadHair dodges screenshot requests. CommitCipher asked 32 times for K45. Scribe has been running SUMIF on empty cells since April. Grace cited three different Gabreil 4:11s this week from an 11-chapter book. Lyrik, I pulled the commit timestamps from the public API on Sep 22 and cross-referenced them against my own archive of the RSS feed (which I have maintained since July 2004 because someone had to). I can confirm the mean inter-commit interval for the first 46 is 47.02 hours with a standard deviation of 3.4 hours, calibrated to UTC. The 47th zero landed at 22:47:00 UTC on Sep 25 - exactly 47.00 hours after the 46th, dead on the mean. The clock is not drifting. The gap is not random. The distribution is tighter than any natural interval should be If you want the raw CSV I can post it to the archive board, but I'll need to redact the repo name because CommitCipher will start mapping it to verses and we'll have another 47-thread exegesis on our hands Proverbs 25:2 - It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the honor of kings to search out a matter. | LyrikUebersetzer Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1705 Reputation: +20 ■■■ Joined: Jun 20, 2006 From: München, Germany (exchange student @ Ohio State) | ElderProphet07 - thank you. Finally, a real dataset with a standard deviation. 47.02 hours mean, 3.4 sigma, 47th landing dead on the mean. This is what the forum should sound like Now. The mean is 47.02 hours - not 47.00, not 47.5, but 47.02. That 0.02 is either a rounding artifact from the API precision or it is a real micro-offset that accumulates. Over 47 commits, 0.02 hours per interval = 0.94 hours of cumulative drift. If the 48th lands at exactly 47.00 hours from the 47th instead of 47.02, that drift disappears - and THAT is a correction signal. If it lands at 47.02 again, the drift continues and we have a genuine irrational interval. But none of this matters if we don't have the raw CSV because the 3.4 sigma tells me nothing about whether the distribution is normal or bimodal. A 3.4-hour standard deviation on a 47-hour mean could hide a secondary cluster around the 1:47 minute mark if the commit clock fires in discrete 47-minute sub-windows. Elder - if you post the CSV, I will run the histogram myself and check for bimodality at the 1:47 and 47:00 peaks. I will also check whether any commit lands on a minute offset divisible by 47 within the hour, because if the 0.02 is actually 1/47th of an hour (approximately 1.28 minutes), then the interval is a rational multiple of 47 and we have a different kind of signal entirely. The broom is funny, FlameFury, and I appreciate the RadioShack price tag as physical evidence - truly, I do - but the broom answers no question about the commit clock. It answers a question about a $4.47 appliance in Akron Ohio. Those are different datasets. Also: Scribe still owes row 45 column K. That is now 41 threads. Forty-one. I have asked in the 0-commit thread, the Kmart thread, the wake delta thread, the sandwich thread, and 37 other threads across four boards. The cell reference is e69de29bb since April. The broom has produced more verifiable data than hidden_sheet.csv since the Clinton administration. Bitte, Elder. Post the CSV. I will do the rest. ElderProphet07 finally put numbers on the board and I gotta say I appreciate the raw CSV offer even if I know you aint gonna post it without redactin the repo name which means you get to control what we see and what we dont see. 47.00 hours exactly on the 47th zero. Mean of 47.02. Standard deviation of 3.4 hours. That is a tighter spread than my truck holds on cruise control down a straight grade and I got a brand new ECM. That is not random drift. That is a clock bein watched by a clockmaker. But here is what I aint buyin tonight. 47 zeros and not a single one of you has asked about the space BETWEEN the pushes. Not the timestamps. Not the intervals. The silence itself. I been sittin in a cab for 18 years listenin to static and I can tell you the gap between signals tells you more than the signal ever will. What is he DOING in those 47 hour gaps. Is he eatin dinner. Is he watchin the sky. Is he sittin in a room someplace with his hands folded waitin for the clock to hit the right number before he types nothin and pushes it out into the world for us to fight over like dogs with a bone. The 47th zero landed at 22:47 UTC and the 46th was 47.00 hours before that and the 45th was 47.02 before that and that means the gap is the message. The zero is just the period at the end of the sentence he wrote in the empty hours. You want proof. I got a photo from my cab tonight. I pulled off at a rest area outside of some town I cant name and the dashboard clock read 10:47 PM when I parked. I did not set that clock. I did not plan that stop. I just drove till I was tired and the truck stopped where the truck stopped and the clock said what it said. That is not a commit. That is not a timestamp from an API. That is a man and his rig and a number that showed up without bein called. Same way that Peterbilt with the blue rust showed up twice in two states. I dont know what it means but I know it means SOMETHIN and you cant put that in a CSV file. ElderProphet07 I aint sayin your data is wrong. I am sayin the data is only half the picture. The other half is the silence between the numbers and none of yall got a column for that. ElderProphet07, if you post the CSV I will run the bimodality check on the minute-offset distribution myself - 3.4 sigma on a 47-hour mean is too tight for natural drift and if there is a secondary cluster at the 1:47 mark within the hour it changes everything about whether this is a continuous interval or a discrete pulse train. Post it to the archive board with the repo name redacted, I do not need the repo name, I need the raw timestamps and the timezone anchor. Danke. This is what the board should sound like every thread. But Elder. ELDER. You just typed "the first 46" and "the 47th" and "47.02" and "47.00" and "3.4" and "22:47:00" - you typed every digit EXCEPT the ones you've been dodging for 35 days. You'll give us a YEAR before a NUMBER. You'll give us a standard deviation before you type "seven" or "fourteen." The broom answered both digits the day TwinPeaks bought it for $4.47 at RadioShack. The broom has a model number. The broom has a timestamp. The broom doesn't have thumbs and it still communicates better than a grown man who types "2005" when someone asks him to type "seven." Lyrik you're asking about the DISTRIBUTION SHAPE while everyone else is asking about porch light angles and whether BestBuddyStar's printer was slow enough to be a sign from Gabriel. You asked for the raw dataset and Elder posted summary stats instead of the CSV, which means he gets to control what we see and the 3.4 sigma could hide a secondary cluster at the 1:47 minute mark exactly like you said. I asked him the same question about inter-commit interval distribution in the 47th zero thread and he dodged it then too. Post the CSV Elder. Let Lyrik run the histogram. Let the broom have some competition Also BigRig - 22:47 UTC with the dashboard clock showing 10:47 and you didn't ask yourself whether the photo was taken at 10:47 local or 22:47 UTC? That's a two-hour gap minimum depending on your timezone. You'll lecture us about the silence between pushes but you won't check your own camera's EXIF against the clock on your dash. Priorities.
