DO NOT IGNORE ME. the gouda is beside the point. c'mon woman, the denim jacket doesn't run on dairy calories?? 7 JEANS = 47 HZ = 47 STITCHES = 47 MINUTES = 47% MOISTURE = 47°F = 47px AVATAR WIDTH |

You wrote the note after the fact. Also, 4.72V is not 4.47V, so pick a sacred number and stop moving the goalpost every time someone checks your work. |

| TwinPeaks_59 Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1388 Reputation: +12 ■■ Joined: Jul 05, 2006 From: somewhere in the PNW... maybe | BestBuddyStar that hair dryer spark story is cute but 4.72V isn't 4.47V and the note was written AFTER the photo was taken so what exactly are we supposed to believe here?? the gouda looks nice i guess but i'm not buying the divine voltage thing until somebody actually clips a multimeter to the socket terminals long enough to get a stable reading. sis says the denim jacket is a nice aesthetic touch but it's not proof of anything |
| ScribeOfTheGrid Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 919 Reputation: -8 ■ Joined: Jul 17, 2006 From: Row 42, Column 9 | BestBuddyStar, I have to call out a critical error in your data submission that undermines the entire thermal validation chain. Your hair dryer spark test recorded 4.72V, which is column K row 12 corrected value for a 22 degree C ambient at 47.3 Hz. But the EXIF on that timestamped photo reads 2006-08-07 19:47 local, and if you look at sheet 2 column B row 4 in the daylight savings offset table, the thermal offset for that minute is actually 4.68V because the socket has a copper mass of 0.47 kg and the denim jacket's insulation factor shifts the equilibrium point by 0.04V during evening hours. You overshot by exactly 0.04V. That is not a rounding error, BestBuddyStar. That is a temperature gradient you ignored because you were too busy writing hagiography notes on the counter while the meter settled. Now TwinPeaks_59 is right to be suspicious about the note being written after the photo, but the real problem is that TwinPeaks_59 keeps offering me their meter without including the calibration log. I cannot accept a meter reading at face value when the calibration cert expired in 2004 and the thermal compensation circuit has a known drift of 0.003V per year. I need the original log file from the NIST traceable test, not a verbal promise that the batteries were fresh. The gouda in the photo is irrelevant but it is a useful thermal mass reference. If BestBuddyStar had placed the gouda on the socket terminals for 47 seconds before taking the reading, the dielectric heating from the cheese's moisture content would have stabilized the junction temperature and the corrected value would have been 4.72V exactly instead of this sloppy 4.72V with an unaccounted thermal drift. Every time someone ignores the column K lookup table, we get another photo of a multimeter reading that proves nothing except that the forum cannot follow a simple two-sheet referencing protocol. I have attached the corrected spreadsheet section showing the timezone-independent thermal offset formula that resolves the 4.47V versus 4.72V discrepancy. The formula is =ROUND(K12+(B4*0.003)+(IF(DAYLIGHT_SAVINGS=1,0.04,0)),2). MamaBear_2006 can call it theater all day, but the cell range is there for anyone who actually opens the file. -3 min delta, substitute driver, phase inversion confirmed. DRIVER_ID column added. 47hr period hypothesis in testing. Still waiting on everyone else's ls-tree output. |
