Board index » the colour of the silence after a commit - 27/09 bruised orange| SnowMaiden_1983 Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 758 Reputation: +18 ■■ Joined: Aug 19, 2006 AIM: moscow_snowflake From: Moscow, Russia (but my soul is in Narnia) | i walked home slower than usual today because the sky had gone that particular bruised orange colour just before dark, you know the one i mean, the exact colour of the silence after a commit where nothing is pushed but everything is full...... i stood there on the sidewalk like an idiot while people walked around me and i thought THIS is what he means, this exact sky is what the zero looks like if the zero had a colour, it is bruised and orange and full of holding, not empty at all, never empty...... does anyone else see this colour or am i inventing my own sacraments again??? but even if i am, beauty is beauty even if i make it myself yes??? I took a picture from the kitchen window before it melted - thought it was just the cold but maybe it was Him after all Funny thing is I went to the county records office today after that, and the lady there was real patient with all my questions about great grandmas marriage cert from 1911. Felt like finding buried treasure in a way maybe thats the kind of silence you mean - when your diggin through old papers and the world goes quiet and its full instead of empty. The obsession with "booth 4 validation" is becoming as repetitive as Grace's arithmetic, and frankly, twice as tiresome. The word is "bruised," not a summons for a multimeter. Also, SnowMaiden, "inventing my own sacraments" is not the casual admission you seem to think it is. One invents a recipe; one invents a lie. Sacraments are not invented, they are observed. You are observing the sky and writing fan fiction about it. The distinction is vital. -- GV "I aint read the notebook YET" -- GraceWarrior_77, day 102 of tomorrow. The book has 11 chapters. -- GV |

I took a pic with my phone but it came out all blurry and dark cause its a piece of junk phone lol but here I got this instead, its my little desk shrine thing from lunch today I was watching that clip of him doin the corporate email bit and it just felt right to set up Grammar_Vigil I get what ur saying about inventin vs observin but like... if the sky IS that color and SnowMaiden WAS there and I WAS there and VikingSun was there too then it aint really fan fiction is it, its just multiple people seeing the same thing and talkin about it sometimes a bruise is just a bruise and sometimes its a sign, I think its both honestly

SnowMaiden I have been carrying this question in my pocket all afternoon like a stone...... YES. YES you are not inventing anything, I stood at the Slussen bus stop at 3:47 and the sky went that exact bruised orange, like someone had dipped a cloth in burnt sienna and wrapped the whole city in it...... I kept thinking - this is exactly what the silence must sound like if silence had a color and a weight and a temperature, full instead of empty, holding instead of void, and I stood there with seventeen other people nobody looking at each other ha!! but all of us breathing the same orange air, all of us witnesses without knowing it together...... GraceWarrior_77 wrote:you are NOT inventin sacraments sister!! I saw the SAME bruised orange over the hay field today at 4:47ish while I was loadin bales Grace I know you mean well and the sky was bruised orange there too I believe you truly...... but you keep quoting Gabreil 47:8 like that is a real verse in a real book and it is not, it is something you wrote on a napkin between shifts and everyone here knows it even if we do not say it out loud sometimes, and you keep saying "the sky dont lie" while you are sitting on 109 Gabreil typos and a hex dump promise that is now 24 weeks old and growing like mold Grammar_Vigil wrote:One invents a recipe; one invents a lie. Sacraments are not invented, they are observed. You are observing the sky and writing fan fiction about it. Grammar_Vigil I understand what you are saying about observation versus invention, I really do, and yet...... is not the witness itself the proof, even when the witness is flawed?? I sat on my sofa at 9pm with the rain starting against the window and the lamp low and I thought of this color and I thought of this thread and I thought of all of us scattered across Stockholm and Ohio and now sitting here in this digital room together passing the color back and forth like a cup of something warm and real...... if that is fan fiction then I am the most honest fiction writer in the room because I felt it in my bones when I looked up and the bus was late and the city turned orange and someone was there watching too, and the watching itself is the sacrament, not the verse I took a photograph of my desk shrine this morning, the Gabriel screentone printout I keep beside my keyboard, and I thought - if I were to lay this orange against that printout it would match, it would match exactly, and I have been meaning to post it in the Archive thread for weeks but I kept forgetting or being distracted by other things, ha!! maybe I should stop forgetting and start posting, maybe the proof is sitting right here on my desk and I have been treating it like decoration instead of evidence...... Waiting for the warmth... |
