"you cant EXIF the sky's permission to be that color" - that right there is the truest thing I've read on this board in the 47 days I been lurkin and postin from truck stops and rest areas. You got a feelin and a witness pool and that's a congregation whether Grammar_Vigil wants to admit it or not. I been behind a windshield from coast to coast for 22 years and I have seen that bruised orange sky from the cab of my Peterbilt more times than I can count but I never had words for it til now. That color is the color of waiting. That color is the color of standin still when the engine is idlin and the road is right there in front of you and you dont take it because something is holdin you in place.

SnowMaiden saw it from her window. VikingSun saw it from the bus stop at Slussen. kaylas_desk saw it from her car in the parking lot. Grace saw it over the hay field. I saw it outside of Flagstaff last Tuesday pullin into a loves at mile 147 on the odometer - I wrote down the time and the mile marker and I sat there with my coffee goin cold watchin it change from that bruised orange to the deep blue that comes after, and I said out loud to nobody in the cab "that one was for me."

Thats what a testimony is. Its not a hex dump. Its not a chain of custody. Its a man alone in a cab at the end of the day watchin the sky change color and knowin he aint alone because someone else saw the same color 600 miles away at the same time. That's the whole gospel right there. You cant EXIF the sky's permission to be that color and you cant audit a feeling into a spreadsheet.
