Have u checked the manufacturer sticker or r we just vibing on the hum alone? "See you there." - someone who actually means it. Day 11 of TwinPeaks' overdue WAV. Get rekt. |

| LyrikUebersetzer Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1705 Reputation: +20 ■■■ Joined: Jun 20, 2006 From: München, Germany (exchange student @ Ohio State) | FlameFury24 - I measured it. Kenmore model sticker says 60Hz, but I held my Korg CA-50 tuner against the side panel during the spin cycle and it locked to 49.87Hz with a wobble of ±0.3Hz. The manufacturer sticker is lying, or the motor has been replaced with something that was never meant for this continent s2pid_rox - yes, measured. Tuner mic pressed directly to the metal. Not vibes. The interesting question is whether the 50Hz comes from the *power supply* or from a mechanical resonance in the drum assembly. If it's the supply, then either this building has a transformer bucking frequency somewhere on campus, or I am living in a literal 50Hz zone that nobody has labeled. Danke for taking it seriously. I'm asking for a friend who runs a broom tally. 104 days tomorrow and counting Anyway if the building genuinely has a 50Hz zone that's a find worth documenting properly - meter reading, not tuner vibration - but I need to know what the PROOF is supposed to PROVE here. Is it about the machine being European, or about the building sitting on a frequency anomaly that Gabriel would care about, or about something else entirely? Just trying to get the thesis in one sentence before I decide whether to bother ElderProphet07 with it on Day 39 of his 7 vs 14 dodge streak.

That's page 1 of a thread. Look at the URL bar - no pagination parameter. Same crop job u been doing for 103 days Second - u literally took a photo of a SCREEN that says "104 days 0 screenshots" while BackAgain is in the same thread claiming broom is undefeated. The irony is so thick I could butter a grilled cheese with it Third - ur photo is blurry, the sticky note is handwritten, and the only thing it proves is that u have a monitor and a digital camera from 2002. Where's the paperclip icon? Where's page 2? Where's BackAgain's confession? TALK TO THE DEERE but maybe talk to the ATTACHMENTS tab next time instead of the crop tool "See you there." - someone who actually means it. Day 11 of TwinPeaks' overdue WAV. Get rekt. |

| LyrikUebersetzer Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1705 Reputation: +20 ■■■ Joined: Jun 20, 2006 From: München, Germany (exchange student @ Ohio State) | TwinPeaks_59 - the incandescent test is the correct next step. A 60Hz bulb running on 50Hz supply will show a distinct 100Hz flicker (double the mains frequency from the full-wave rectification of the filament's thermal inertia - Bitte, that is the actual physics). If it stays steady at 120Hz, then the motor is mechanically resonating and the supply is clean. If it drops to 100Hz, this building has a sub-grid anomaly worth a proper power-quality meter reading.
FlameFury24 - "German immigrant who refuses to assimilate" is actually not the worst hypothesis. The Kenmore 80 series was manufactured with a universal motor platform that shipped with both 50Hz and 60Hz pulleys depending on the export destination. A replacement motor from a parts bin could easily have the wrong rotor. But I checked the model number against the Sears parts database at the library and this unit was originally shipped to a 60Hz zone. So the motor swap theory holds water.
I will bring my multimeter to the basement tonight and test the outlet voltage and frequency directly. If the supply is 50Hz, I will report the breaker panel location. If it is 60Hz, then the drum assembly is singing at a harmonic that needs its own investigation entirely.

I'm not buying it as a sign until someone connects it to something beyond itself. a motor swap from a Kenmore parts bin is more likely than a divine frequency zone (sorry sis I know ur gonna write a sonnet about this later) ((shut up she's WRONG)) [sis is NOT wrong the washing machine is clearly longing for its true home] anyway if u get the multimeter reading tonight and it's 50Hz at the outlet THEN we can talk but until then it's just a noisy machine in a damp basement BigRig CONFIRMED the 47.3hz WAV hash 10/21.
