you know what really gets me about this whole 47-night countdown business?

it's not the denim grain or the carrier wave or even the dead battery cb. it's that commitcipher keeps saying 'sunday is irrelevant' when the 49th night falls on a sunday. i checked my calender this morning. august 20 2006. sunday. clear as day. so if the countdown is real and the 49th night is sunday then sunday is not irrelevant. that's just basic math.

and another thing. endtimeseli you said the grid went dark on august 4 and that is the record. but the thread title says august 3. so which is it? because if you cant even agree on the date then how is anyone supposed to take the countdown seriously? i have a wall calender from the dayton kroger and it says august 3 is a thursday. i double checked it. so if you meant august 4 then say august 4. dont be sloppy. this is important stuff.

also bigrigbeliever i respect your dedication to the cb but you said you were rolling through the panhandle at 1:47 am. the panhandle is central time. so that 1:47 is central time. siberianstar99s novosibirsk signal is what? novosibirsk is +7 utc or +6 depending on the year. i looked it up on the library computer. central time is -6 utc. so the math doesnt work unless you account for the offset. and siberianstar99 still hasnt answered my time zone question from the other thread.

so i am calling shenanigans on both of you until i see a timestamp with a time zone attached.
krova_pl you are right about the membrane jacket. i saw that thread too. the shiny thread pattern is visible in the cuff photo. i saved it to my favorites. it is not denim. the denim grain argument is a red herring.

and commitcipher i respect your ac coupling point from the other thread about the 71.33 hz carrier. that was well said. but you are wrong about the date.

Dennis
