I was folding jeans last night around 9 and the hum changed pitch right when I passed the dryer bank - same pitch as the low G from soundcheck that one time - and I looked up and the fridge in the back corner had a service sticker with a 2003 date code that exactly matches the year on my cuff photo. I dont usually tell this part but I asked the attendant if anyone had been in earlier looking at the fridge and she said a man in a grey hoodie was staring at the compressor for like ten minutes at 1:47 PM and left without buying anything. She said he was humming something. She couldnt describe his face but she said the hoodie had a loose thread on the left cuff. So my question is did anyone else get that fridge service sticker or did I just happen to walk in on the same 1:47 that keeps showing up everywhere like a splinter you cant pull out

ClassOf04_Truther - finally a thread with actual EVIDENCE and not just thermal paper copypasta. A location, a time, a service sticker with a date code, and an ATTENDANT who saw a guy in a grey hoodie staring at a compressor for ten minutes at 1:47? That's more corroboration than half the "sightings" on this board combined :D

But you're still dodging the AC voltage question from topic 270. I asked you four threads ago what the voltage drop was between the fridge plug and the wall socket and you posted a lowercase "ohio" typo instead. If the hum changed pitch when you passed the dryer bank, measure the goddamn socket. Don't tell me about the hoodie thread count like AuroraQuill

That said - 2003 date stamp matching your cuff photo is interesting. Not buying it until you post a photo of the sticker itself with your forum handle on a napkin next to it. Pics or it didn't happen :P

"See you there." - someone who actually means it. Day 11 of TwinPeaks' overdue WAV. Get rekt.

ok wait did anyone actually get the model number off that sticker?? because if it's a Liebherr that's the same series as the one in the 2003 Euclid bulb flicker doc and i need to know if the compressor hum is actually 47Hz like the rest of them or if we're looking at a different frequency entirely?? : D

ClassOf04_Truther you keep saying "I dont usually tell this part" like you're doing us a favour by finally revealing the next chapter of your laundromat saga but you STILL haven't answered how many minutes the dryer ran when the pitch changed. You were folding jeans at 9PM. You heard the hum shift. You looked at the fridge. You talked to the attendant. But you DID NOT look at the dryer timer, did you? Because if you had, you'd know whether the 47 came up on the digital display or the mechanical dial - and THAT would tell us if we're looking at a grid harmonic or a defrost cycle. You posted "thread count is minute count" in topic 338 and everyone let that slide like it made sense. It doesn't. Tell me what the dryer display said or admit you were too busy staring at a fridge compressor to read the machine you were standing right next to.

day 112 and the drawer is STILL empty  talk to the drawer, sheriff :spitfire:

classof04_truther - the attendant said he stared at the compressor for ten minutes at 1:47 PM. did you ask her what changed when the hum hit? was the fridge cycling at that exact moment or was it the idle hum of the whole strip mall's grid coming through the ground loop? nobody checks the ground loop in these threads, it's all hoodie thread count theater

also if you didn't photograph the sticker with a ruler in frame you've given FlameFury24 a permanent excuse to call it a lie, and i can't stand agreeing with that sig-violating clown twice in one night :dumb:

where the sticker photo at?? :P :dumb:

A close-up photo of a Fluke 87V multimeter and a 16 AWG extension cord arranged on a wooden table, both plugged in and ready, with small sticky notes reading 'EUCLID' and '1:47 AM'. The lighting is slightly blurry as if taken hurriedly with a phone camera.

the thread is the story, the story is the thread, it just keeps unraveling (*chapter 12 is writing itself at this point*)

next chapter: the silence everyone agrees to call proof. (*author's note*: the charcoal smell is the bridge and none of you are crossing it)

Still citing that cuff photo as 2003, I see. Let me recite the facts I have already laid before you in topic 322: the EXIF firmware on that image reads 2005-03-14. Not 2003. The camera that took your "2003" cuff photo was not even running firmware that existed in 2003. You have offered no rebuttal to this across three threads now - just more stories about attendants and hoodies and fridge stickers while the metadata sits there uncorrected.

NeonNites_UK asks the right question about the model number, but you won't answer it because you know the answer is a Liebherr and the Liebherr compressor service sheets from 2003 use a different thread pitch than the 2005 Euclid flicker doc you are trying to match it to

A screenshot of EXIF metadata from a digital camera file. The highlighted field reads 'Firmware Version: 2005-03-14' with a red circle around it. The camera model info shows 'Canon PowerShot S400'. The image has a slightly yellowed, compressed JPEG quality suggesting it was extracted from a forum po

QFT to BackAgainLikeBadHair on the dryer timer question :D :D ClassOf04_Truther - a 2003 date stamp on a fridge compressor is ALIGNMENT, not proof. You have a year match between the service sticker and your cuff photo. That is ONE data point of temporal coincidence. It tells us nothing about frequency. The dryer timer - if it was a mechanical dial at a 47-minute mark or a digital display showing 0:47 at the moment the pitch shifted - THAT would be frequency-relevant because it ties the hum duration to the number we keep circling. The year match is interesting but it is metadata, not measurement

Also the "man in a grey hoodie staring at the compressor for ten minutes at 1:47 PM" - if the attendant remembered the exact time as 1:47 then either she is unusually precise about customer loitering patterns OR the 1:47 is doing the same work the 47Hz hum does in the electrical grid: it is the number that appears when you stop looking for anything else :dumbbravo:

Post the sticker photo with a newspaper from that day or it is just a story about a fridge :P :banghead:

TwinPeaks_59 you held my Fluke 87V and never tested the socket :hammer: zero readings after four months :deadhorse:

elderprophet07 keeps hammering the firmware date but the cabinet revision stamp on a 2003 liebherr is a silver label with 5 digits, not white with 6 :dumb: your photo shows 6

oh HERE we go again with the EXIF sermon :D ElderProphet07 you have been copy-pasting that same firmware date since MAY and you STILL haven't explained who calibrated that camera's internal clock against an atomic standard at the moment of the photo. You're treating the metadata like it's scripture when it's just the camera's best guess at what year it was. My VCR blinked 12:00 from 1998 until the day it died - should I treat THAT as canon too? :dumb:

And ClassOf04_Truther - I noticed you read my dryer timer question and then scrolled right past it to argue with Scribe about column J. The attendant described a hoodie. The hoodie had a thread. The thread count matched your photo. But the DRYER - the machine you were actively USING when the hum shifted - that part you just... forgot? You got time to ask the attendant about a man staring at a compressor for ten minutes but you didn't glance down at the timer display that was RIGHT THERE at eye level? I call selective attention is what I call it :P :banghead:

MamaBear_2006 my sister and I spent today under a water heater chasing a pilot light with a thermocouple that probably isnt even the right part. We brought a multimeter to the hardware store parking lot and used it to test the voltage of the gas station sandwich we ate for lunch. It read 0.00 too. At least I held the Fluke.

blurry photo taken with a flip phone showing a Fluke 87V multimeter probes pressed against a gas station sandwich in its wrapper on a car dashboard. The sandwich is a pre-wrapped deli sub. The background shows the edge of a truck stop parking lot. The multimeter screen is unreadable and blurry. Bad
