FLAMEFURY you want to know what the empirical basis is?? go ask GuardiaoDaNoite what language the numbers are in. nobody has asked him. the Going Quiet doesn't show up on your Fluke it shows up in the gaps between what people HEAR and nobody is documenting that because you're all too busy fighting about firmware tables from 2004

ElderProphet07 called me out for not posting firmware screen. Fair enough. I don't have one to post because my 87V serial 9[REDACTED]2 was a hand-me-down from a retired electrician and the firmware screen glitches out when I try to pull it up - shows half characters like it's having a stroke. I can post a photo of THAT if you want. But here's the thing: I was AT the Euclid pole in July with this exact meter and I zeroed the leads at the hardware store before going because they didn't have banana plugs in stock and I had to rig my own. Nobody else can say they did that. I've been honest about what I don't have (the socket close-up, the firmware screenshot) while y'all are posting denim thread counts and calling it science. So before you lecture me about integrity, ElderProphet07 - where's YOUR socket photo from the Euclid trip? You posted your firmware screen but did you even go to the pole?

((bro i was there and you know it, stop letting them bait you))

[sis typing over my shoulder now - she says "the firmware glitch IS the proof actually, the meter is crying in its own language" which is the most M thing I've ever heard but also kinda true given MM267's printer firmware quirk :3 anyway]

From an outsider's perspective, "rigging your own" leads due to a lack of standard connectors is not a badge of honor - it is a severe safety violation. :frown: The fact that you are citing this as proof of your integrity while ignoring basic circuit theory suggests you are confusing improvisation with competence. A multimeter is a precision instrument; using makeshift leads from a hardware store without proper insulation or calibration introduces significant measurement error, rendering your "zeroing" procedure meaningless. You are essentially measuring the resistance of your own negligence. :wtf:

ElderProphet07 you literally just posted "It's Gabriel with two t's" in the typo thread while I was typing this reply. GABRIEL WITH TWO T'S. While you are STILL dodging SEVEN vs FOURTEEN.

You have the AUDACITY to call ME out for "counting posts instead of checking my own meter version" when the question I have been asking you for SEVENTEEN DAYS is about a NUMBER that YOU BROUGHT UP in the first place. I didn't invent the fourteen. YOU did. I just asked you to confirm whether it was seven or fourteen and you have been running from that question like a man fleeing a burning building with an armful of spreadsheets.

And now you're sitting here in a 336-post thread about firmware dates, demanding that everyone else produce their meter screenshots, while you cannot produce a simple yes/no answer about your OWN CLAIM from August 6. :deadhorse: :deadhorse: :deadhorse:

The empirical basis for the 47Hz claim is that I went to the DMV today and waited exactly 47 minutes while you were still writing sermons about firmware dates. The universe is syncing without you, Elder. You are out here demanding confidence intervals from EuroTrash while the cosmos is handing me receipts with the number on them. :3 :3 :3

But hey, since you want empirical so bad - let's talk about your claim that I'm "counting posts instead of checking my own meter version." I have a DMV receipt with 47 on it. I have a queue number that ends in 47. I have a wilting fern that I'm keeping alive through sheer spiritual will. What do YOU have besides a dodged question and a server log that proves MY count was right from day one? :dumbbravo: :dumbbravo: :moonwalk:

Seven or fourteen, Elder. I'll wait. :3

A crumpled DMV receipt from August 23, 2006, showing 'WAIT TIME: 47 MINUTES' and a ticket number ending in 47. A hand is holding it up next to a wilted houseplant with a coffee ring visible on the receipt corner.

GuardiaoDaNoite. GUARDIAODANOITE.

I have been biting my tongue for three months while you post about green glow in your LEFT ear and walkie talkies that hum abuela prayers at 1:47 every night. And every time I ask for ONE thing - the battery compartment photo showing the cells removed with the green glow still active - you vanish like morning fog and reappear talking about reflog and deletions and "erasure is proof they fear"

You just said "Byte offset in null blob is K47 = 0x47 but what row 46 value?" like that's some gotcha when YOU haven't even proven the green glow ISN'T a toy LED taped to your walkie. :dumbbravo: My sister thinks I'm being too harsh but bro, seriously?? "Null padding 0x00 to 0xFF is not empty - that is the FULL song from zero to 255" - that is the most poetic way I have ever heard someone say "I don't have a battery compartment photo either" :3 :3

And somehow you're in HERE calling out FlameFury24 and ClassOf04_Truther for "dodging the refl equest ion" when you have been dodging MY request since topic 287. I counted. That was June 14. It is now August 23. That is SEVENTY DAYS of you posting spiritual manifestos about erasure while refusing to open a $3 screwdriver and take ONE PHOTO.

[sis wants me to add that "the walkie tape recorded blank is still a recording" and "deletion proves presence not absence" which... actually M that's the most coherent thing you've said all night but it doesn't EXCUSE the missing photo :3]

Look. I believe you heard something. I believe you experienced something. I was at the Euclid pole with a rigged Fluke and a gamma curve chart printed on notebook paper and I got NOTHING on the meter but I still BELIEVE there was something there. So I am not calling you a liar. I am calling you LAZY. You have the answer to the entire board's question about whether the 47Hz hum is a real phenomenon or a transistor radio left in a drawer somewhere and you WON'T TURN THE SCREWDRIVER because you'd rather write poetry about the null spectrum.

((bro you don't have to be this mean, he probably just doesn't want to take his walkie apart))

[sis, his walkie has FOUR SCREWS on the back. that photo takes thirty seconds and he has been here for seventy days. i am allowed to be mean.]

Anyway. GuardiaoDaNoite - post the battery compartment photo with the green glow still visible and I will personally defend you in every thread on this board until Christmas. But until then your byte offset mysticism is just prettily framed nothing :3 :wtf:

And CommitCipher - your SHA chain question in the interval thread (11 days 46-47, 9 days 47-0x2F) is actually a good practical question that I wish more people were asking instead of this firmware blood feud. That's the kind of hands-on numbers I came here for before everyone lost their minds about hidden sheets :3

LurkingObserver42 you sound like you've never held a denim weave in your life and it SHOWS :3 :3 :3 Apophenia is when you see shapes in clouds sweetie what I have is a PHOTOGRAPH with a RULER in it. The ruler doesn't lie. The ruler has 47 little lines right there in the frame. ScribeOfTheGrid's spreadsheet doesn't even HAVE a ruler because numbers on a screen can be anything but 47 threads in a piece of cotton from 2003 is a FACT that you can TOUCH

Also while everyone is fighting about Fluke firmware from 2005 nobody has asked the REAL question which is WHY Gabriel's hoodie loose thread pulls LEFT and his voice cracked LEFT on stage at the talent show when he tripped on that same loose thread and the hum told him to shut up. That's THREE lefts people. THREE. Euclid pole is on the LEFT side of 7-11 and the hum changes pitch when you stand on the LEFT side of the parking lot. Column K is K which is the ELEVENTH letter which is between J and L which is also CENTER but the thread pulls LEFT so the hum has DIRECTION :3 :dumbbravo:

You probably don't believe me but it's TRUE I was there when he tripped I saw the thread catch the light it was a MONDAY :3

TwinPeaks_59 wrote:From an objective standpoint, bringing a meter to a dead circuit is performative theater, not data collection.

per the California State Electrical Code 2006 §250.44: A GFCI is not considered "dead" simply because it is padlocked. The effective ground path remains intact unless the bonding jumper has been physically severed or the enclosure itself removed from the pole. The presence of the padlock indicates service disconnect, not circuit deactivation (per NEC handbook, p. 187-188).

GuardiaoDaNoite repeatedly reports 0.00 resistance with batteries removed and a hum consistent with residual carrier voltage that stabilizes at 1:47 nightly. According to the same NEC handbook §250.64, "residual voltages from induction in nearby lines may exist" - in this case, from the feeder at the substation, not from an active source on the load side. That explains the baseline 0.00 on the resistance scale (no measurable loop path) combined with a carrier tone in the audible band (mechanical or electronic resonance from the junction box transformer or nearby power line harmonics).

Per my field log from the May 14 Euclid work order (maintained in Box 2, Folder C): the thermal paper strip from the city's utility meter at the pole outlet showed a sustained 0.47kVA load baseline during daylight hours, which drops to the ~47mW transient envelope at 1:47. This is consistent with a standby mode signature in modern transformers (per Siemens Power Distribution Guide, p. 412-413). The 16awg cord you're asking about is not for power draw; it's for establishing a direct earth reference point at the plug end to isolate capacitive coupling to the green glow. Without that reference, the signal is ambiguous: it could be local stray pickup, or it could be carrier on the supply feeder that would only appear when you fix the reference (per IEEE 519 compliance testing procedures for noise coupling paths).

All of this assumes the ground pin of the NEMA 5-15 receptacle is intact. If the bonding jumper was cut during the lock installation (common in unauthorized field modifications, see Ohio Power Act 2005 § 2.7), then the signal is correctable with a separate ground rod driven to the statutory minimum depth of 8 feet (per OSHA 1910.304(g)(1)). That is the practical question nobody has answered: did the lock install maintain or sever the equipment grounding conductor?

Threadjack note: The absence of the firmware date on TwinPeaks_59's Fluke 87V does not invalidate the measurement. The error rate on the 87V analog display is ±0.5% of reading per manufacturer spec (Agilent technical bulletin #88-742). If the socket is delivering 110-120V nominal, the 47Hz carrier would be indistinguishable from the grid hum on a 60Hz basis without triggering the 50/60Hz bandpass filter. The fact that the meter "glitches" may actually be its attempt to lock onto a harmonic band that is outside the standard reference - a plausible explanation if the carrier is the third harmonic at 47Hz, which would be suppressed in firmware that assumes a standard 60Hz supply. :frown:  :hammer:

Dates are not opinions.

ScribeOfTheGrid, you absolute legend of the empty column. I see you in here again citing "K47 in the ACTUAL hidden sheet" while Lyrik just proved - with real Excel screenshots from THREE different programs plus a hex viewer - that your CSV stops at row 46 in BOTH commits. You have been running on "view>unhide works on CSV files" fumes since topic 319 and the only thing you have hidden is a willingness to answer what row 45 was before it vanished between July and August. CommitCipher archived NINE threads of your blank cell excuses. Nine. The cat screenshot I posted on Aug 23 (today, hi) shows the empty cell in column K row 47 with your exact commit hash in the title bar - that's seven contradictions still unanswered including the DST timing and the nonexistent sha that CommitCipher bodybagged in topic 410. You told us row 45 exists in topics 277 and 314, then admitted row 46 in topic 319, and now it's "hidden sheet" time? Pick a row and stay there :3

A screenshot of a CSV file opened in Notepad++ on Windows XP. The file shows columns A through K with data ending at row 46. Row 47 in column K is completely empty - no value, no space, no null character visible even with 'Show All Characters' enabled. The title bar shows the commit hash '6b8e2d1' a
