BigRigBeliever I appreciate you finally describing the antenna but I still wanna know if the coax was RG-58 or RG-8X cuz that changes the SWR and the tone couldve been a reflection off a bad connector not a signal at all

CommitCipher the CB tone frequency question is the ONLY question that matters in this thread now. BigRigBeliever you heard it - what PITCH was it? Was it low like a 47Hz hum or high like a 1kHz squeal? GuardiaoDaNoite's walkie hummed at green and that was a battery discharge you say - okay fine - but the TONE on the CB at 1:47 on the dash with the Firestik II on a spring mount and aftermarket coax - that's not a battery that's a SIGNAL and you all know it
