everyone keeps asking what we're probing but nobody's asking if the socket itself is the original source or just a conduit. if the hum was there before the euclid trip and after, the socket is just where we happen to notice it, like how gabriel only appears in blue hoodies when we're already looking for him. (*author's note: the question is not whether the socket is live, but whether the socket remembers the first time it hummed.*)

what i want to know is who was the first person to hear the hum at that specific euclid socket and when did they tell anyone, because if the testimony came after the measurements we're all just documenting our own expectation bias

next chapter: the silence everyone agrees to call proof. (*author's note*: the charcoal smell is the bridge and none of you are crossing it)

1. MamaBear_2006: plugging the meter in and asking about probe placement is the first real hardware question this thread has produced since February.

2. TwinPeaks_59: hot slot, 200mV AC range, Cat III leads, narrow slots. Correct. :backtotopic:

I am sorry, but the 1:47 hum is not measured by the meter - it is measured by the soul (^^) The meter only confirms what the heart already knows

MAYA MA'AM NOBODY IS PROBING THE ACTUAL THING BECAUSE EVERYONE IS TOO BUSY ARGUING ABOUT WHETHER CONCRETE OR BRASS HAS BETTER CONTACT POTENTIAL AND WHETHER ScribeOfGrid CITED ROW 45 OR ROW 46 IN HIS HIDDEN SHEET CHECKSUM AND WHETHER GUARDIÃO'S WALKIE TALKS COUNT AS CALIBRATED METERS :P :P :P I literally brought my Fluke to Euclid on Aug 12 and forgot to test because the denim jacket glow was too beautiful and NOW EVERYONE WANTS SOCKET PHOTOS BUT NOBODY'S PROVIDING PROBE PLACEMENT PHOTOS EITHER AND WE'RE ALL JUST SITTING HERE POINTING OUR MULTIMETERS AT CHEESE RECEIPTS AND CALLING IT SCIENCE :peugeot: :peugeot: :peugeot:

THE 16AWG EXTENSION CORD STILL HAS NO VOLUNTEER. THE FLUKE FIRMWARE DATES STILL AREN'T CHECKED. THE SOCKET PHOTO IS THE CUFF PHOTO ALL OVER AGAIN. :47: :flame: :banghead:    :dumb: :dumb: :dumb: :dumbbravo: :peace:

STILL READY WITH THE CORD. STILL FORGOT TO TEST. STILL IN LOVE WITH DENIM JACKET GLOW. :D :D :D <3<3<3

honey, this whole thing has been making me crosseyed since Euclid and I am SO glad someone finally said it out loud  :peugeot: :dumbbravo: :dumbbravo: :dumbbravo:

:dumb: :dumb: :dumb:

:peugeot: :peugeot: :peugeot:

A small crocheted Gabe-able doll wearing a tiny denim jacket sitting on top of a Fluke 87V digital multimeter, the needle-probe leads coiled neatly beside it, with a hand-written note that reads 'honey if you dont plug the meter in im calling your mom' tucked under the Gabe-able's little felt guitar

MamaBear_2006 - Still counting posts while you count threads. Sept 12 Euclid trip: Fluke 87V + Gabe-ables. Someone bring the actual socket. :147witness: :50HzEuclidTruth:

AuroraQuill you wrote "the socket remembers" like it's a gothic novel and i respect the commitment to mood but i also need you to know that the euclid socket i shorted my leads on last month was held together with that yellow electrical tape my dad uses on extension cords from 1999. it does not remember anything. it is doing its best.

[bro says "stop dunking on the artsy one she's trying" but also bro she wrote author's note in the middle of a post. AUTHOR'S NOTE. mid-paragraph she stopped to tell us she was narrating. that's not testimony that's the director's commentary track on a dvd nobody asked for]

MamaBear the answer is hot slot west side of the outlet, narrow spade, 200mV AC range, leads zeroed on the concrete base of the lamp post because the hardware store bench added 0.03mV and i was not about to walk back. TechAngel you can keep the wiring diagram request because if i go back to euclid and pop the faceplate off a municipal street lamp at dusk the third time this month, the cops are going to stop asking questions and start writing them down. the hum was there in april before i brought any meter and it was there last week when i came empty-handed. the socket is not the source, the socket is where we happen to be standing when we notice it. aurora said that better than i did but she used italics and a parenthetical so i'm saying it flat.

still owe bigrig diodes from wednesday :D :D :D :D

endtimes is right though, the observation shapes the hum as much as the meter does

(*author's note: the first witness wrote the frequency, not the meter*)

GuardiaoDaNoite I asked for raw recording not a green glow photo with no battery meter. That is evidence standards, not deletion.

I volunteer to test the 16AWG extension cord at Euclid with probe placement photos and firmware date verification! (´・_・`) Please forgive me if I bring too much tea to the pilgrimage site... it is August, after all :peugeot:

FlameFury24 you don't want evidence standards you want a reason to keep typing :spitfire: :threadjacked: every time someone posts testimony you ask for a different kind of proof and when they give it you ask for another one. you are not measuring the hum you are measuring your own refusal to hear it :hammer: (*author's note: the antagonist must always demand one more photograph, one more reading, one more thing that will never be enough because the real proof already happened and he was in the wrong thread when it did*)

Lock this. nothing here is about the actual thing anymore it's about FlameFury24 performing skepticism for an audience of zero while GuardiaoDaNoite's abuela testimony sits there waiting to be read by someone who isn't already writing the rebuttal :flame:

:D everyone in here asking about probe placement and socket memory while Gabriel's push from July 3 says "fix: adjust threshold for damp environments" :D :D

a greyscale screenshot of a git commit log on a terminal, the line highlighted showing 'fix: adjust threshold for damp environments' with the commit hash partially visible, taken on a CRT monitor with slight curve distortion

8c3f9a4 tree entry 47: zero. 1645 thread entry 47: still asking. everyone measuring the wrong edge.

TwinPeaks_59 citing Euclid lot readings per program p. 14 footnote 7 (suburban lot verification required) :hammer::cheeky:

A scanned page from a tour program PDF showing footnote 7 dated 2006 that mentions TwinPeaks_59 at the SUBURBAN lot with another volunteer, positioned next to a thread title 'Euclid readings'. The footnote text is partially obscured, but the page number 14 and the location SUBURBAN are visible.

Dates are not opinions.

MamaBear_2006 putting the probe in the hot slot while the crochet Gabe-able watches is exactly the kind of witness testimony chapter 12 needs - two needles, one reading, both trembling slightly as if they know they are measuring something they cannot quite name (*author's note: the doll does not need to be calibrated to understand the hum, and yet the hum is more real when the doll is watching, this is not science this is devotion*)

until the next chapter
