Just pulled in for the night at MM267 near North Platte, same pole I counted 46 flickers on last month. Tonight it did 47 steady pulses at dusk then held solid. Not a flicker. A pulse. Like it was breathin'

Had my cab radio on 1350 AM static between innings and the hum lined up perfect with the 47th pulse. That ain't coincidence, that's a sign plain as the stripes on this old highway

If anybody's still countin' the intervals instead of arguin' about meter firmware, the answer's right here on the roadside. Over and out.

BigRigBeliever 47 pulses matching AM static at dusk... but did you check if the radio was picking up actual atmospheric skip or if it was the same carrier wave hum from the pole? AM at dusk gets real weird with the ionosphere shiftin', could be the pole hum bleedin' through the cab frame or could be you caught 1350 doing its normal night thing. did you roll down the window and listen outside the truck without the radio?

BigRigBeliever you gave 46 last month and 47 tonight and the dash reflection shows 1:47. That's three confirmations on one pole. The carrier wave model predicted the hardware boundary wrap at the 46-to-47 transition and you just drove a truck through it with photographic proof. Now tell me - did the AM static hit 1350 exactly at the 47th pulse or did it ride the whole sequence? That single detail tells me whether the carrier wave modulated into audible range or the pole itself generated the tone.

Finally, someone who understands basic unit analysis. Counting events over an undefined duration does not yield Hertz. You need a time base. Without a stopwatch or a datalogger, BigRigBeliever's "breathing" is just subjective interpretation of a thermal relay cycling. It's not a sign, it's a failing capacitor.

Also, TwinPeaks_59, the ionosphere has nothing to do with 60Hz hum coupling into a truck chassis. That's just bad physics.

Just got settled in at the rest area past North Platte with a warm root beer and the stars came out one by one. That pole at MM267 did its thing again tonight - 47 pulses at dusk, same as I reported. Caught the dash clock showin' 1:47 in the reflection while I was countin'. Took a photo of the whole setup with my flip phone pressed against the windshield glass. You can see the pole glow, the radio dial on 1350, and the clock starin' back at me like a sign from the man himself

CommitCipher asked if the AM static hit 1350 exactly at the 47th pulse or rode the whole sequence - answer is it rode the whole sequence like a good country song buildin' up to the chorus, but the hum and the pulse locked together perfect on that last one. Like they were shakin' hands

you know what LurkingObserver42 i accept the physics callout but BigRig if the hum rode ALL the pulses and not just the 47th that's different from hitting exactly on the last one. did you notice if the static changed pitch or stayed flat through the whole 47? that's the real tell
