| LyrikUebersetzer Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1017 Reputation: +13 ■■ Joined: Jun 20, 2006 From: München, Germany (exchange student @ Ohio State) | TwinPeaks_59 asked about flicker duration 7 posts ago and nobody answered because BackAgainLikeBadHair was too busy demanding socket photos and NeonNites_UK was arguing about mains hum. So let me ask the question properly:
47 flickers in 60 seconds means an average of 1.2766 seconds per cycle. But you counted flickers, not the ON time versus the OFF time within each flicker. A flicker that is 1.2 seconds OFF and 0.0766 seconds ON is a different phenomenon than one that is 0.6 seconds each way. The duty cycle within each flicker tells you whether you are looking at a loose neutral (short dropout, mains-frequency recovery) or a load-induced sag (longer dropout, thermal recovery slope). Without the per-flicker ON/OFF ratio the 1.27s average tells us exactly nothing about the electrical root cause. Did you log each flicker's duration bin by bin or are you just reporting the raw count?

I brought a Fluke 87V, a notebook, and two pens. That's it. You brought a Fluke 87V and no camera to a vigil that was being organized for FOUR MONTHS and you didn't think to bring a way to DOCUMENT the readings? That's not a sighting, brother, that's a coffee break with extra steps. Verily, the Philistines came better equipped to battle than you came to measure And BackAgainLikeBadHair, I see your post count obsession wandering into a thread where the question was flicker duration and you gave us tally marks instead of duty cycles You counted my posts in the support thread while the pole light was blinking 47 times and nobody logged a single ON/OFF ratio? That's the state of evidence gathering in this parish? 47 flickers is a headline, not data. A headline without a byline, a date, or a source code. What was the ON time within each flicker? What was the OFF time? Did the duration compress toward the end or expand? LyrikUebersetzer asked this SEVEN POSTS AGO and the thread answered with a sewing box photo with a NUMBER 8 on it instead of a waveform I say unto you: if the count is all ye have, the count is all ye shall receive. And it shall not be enough on the day of reckoning. TwinPeaks_59 wrote:you and ElderProphet07 are in a post-count arms race that has produced exactly zero socket photos I notice you had room in your post to DRAG me by name but not room to answer Lyrik's flicker duration question Priorities, brother. Pri - or - i - ties. I'll hang up and let the adults talk about duty cycles now. Gabreil 12:4 - I have kept the faith with more footnotes than thou hast posted. |

But you counted flickers, not the ON time versus the OFF time within each flicker. THANK YOU LyrikUebersetzer for actually asking a real question instead of posting the same sewing box photo for the NINTH time But here's the question NONE of you have answered in 94 posts: BigRigBeliever YOU were at the pole. YOU counted. Did you use a stopwatch or did you just vibe-count under a flickering light like a monk in a thunderstorm? Because if you were counting Mississippi's instead of milliseconds then your 1.27s average is MEANINGLESS and we've been breathing 94 posts of exhaust for nothing also TwinPeaks_59 you still owe the reference junction compensation answer from page 12 of topic 314 and i haven't forgotten even if everyone else has [Attached image: A blurry cell phone camera photo of a stopwatch lying on a concrete floor next to a flickering fluorescent pole light in a parking lot. The stopwatch reads 0:47.00. A notebook is visible underneath with the words '47 flickers' written in ballpoint pen, but the handwriting is messy and the page looks mostly blank except for that phrase. A pair of headphones with a broken cord is also visible in the frame.]

I brought a Fluke 87V, a notebook, and two pens. That's it. OH SURE. "I didn't bring my camera." That's your story? You brought TWO pens but not ONE camera? TWO pens but zero photographic evidence of a socket you've been talking about since TOPIC ONE HUNDRED FIFTY FOUR?? you know what else you didn't bring? A straight answer. You've had a "sister" agreeing with you in parentheses like that's a valid citation format. "bro is right actually" - who is bro?? are you a committee now?? do I need to address TwinPeaks_59 AND your brother AND your sister AND whoever else is typing from that one computer in your mom's basement?? TwinPeaks_59 wrote:you read my explanation, you just don't accept it GEE I WONDER WHY I DON'T ACCEPT IT. Let me check my notes: - Promised socket photo in topic 154 - NOT DELIVERED - Asked about it in topic 339 - DEFLECTED TO CORD QUESTIONS - Asked about it in topic 350 - SAID "MY SISTER WILL ANSWER LATER" - Asked about it in topic 358 - STARTED TALKING ABOUT PARAGRAPH NUMBERS - Asked about it in topic 374 (THIS THREAD) - "I didn't bring a camera" that's FIVE deflections across FIVE threads. you're collecting them like Pokemon at this point the Fluke 87V has a DATA LOGGING function by the way! you brought a notebook AND TWO PENS but couldn't hit the LOG button on the meter you supposedly had?? the 87V can store MINIMUM and MAXIMUM readings. you're telling me you stood at MM267 with a $400 meter and wrote down numbers like a pilgrim with a chisel?? LyrikUebersetzer wrote:Did you log each flicker's duration bin by bin or are you just reporting the raw count? ^ THIS. LyrikUebersetzer asking the REAL questions while TwinPeaks_59 is busy explaining why two pens is a valid substitute for a camera and a sister counts as a witness and @ClassOf04_Truther - nice try changing the subject to thread count when you still haven't answered the DRYER MINUTES question across EIGHT threads. E-I-G-H-T. that's a full work week of dodging. you posted the same sewing box photo in topic 339 and when i called you out you posted it AGAIN in topic 350 and when i called you out AGAIN you posted it AGAIN in topic 362 and somehow the TACO TRUCK ALIBI keeps changing locations TwinPeaks_59 and ClassOf04_Truther should start a support group for people who can't answer basic yes/no questions about their own evidence anyway. socket photo from topic 154 or you're just a guy with a story about a meter and two pens. I'll wait. Not holding my breath though - I've been waiting since MAY
