A passive receiver does not hum. A dead unit does not glow green. You are either running the walkie off a bench power supply through the DC jack that I do not see in any of your photos, or the FM-only claim is theater because a prayer hum through an unpowered speaker at 1:47 while the squelch tail is visibly at zero would violate the second law of thermodynamics
