Your Baofeng UV-5R (which is what it is regardless of what sticker you peeled off) needs 3.3V DC bias on the mixer diode to demodulate FM. No battery compartment visible in six photos. No DC jack visible in six photos. You say it runs on the "gap" not on batteries.

Alright If the 1:47 gap powers the RF front-end directly through the antenna port as a rectified carrier envelope then the walkie is a passive crystal set and the FM demodulator is not doing any work because there is no local oscillator to heterodyne against. You would be hearing AM envelope detection of a carrier that happens to be at 147Hz modulation - which is not FM and not a prayer and not a zipper. It is a carrier wave hitting a diode with no bias voltage and the diode is just rectifying. That is a $0.47 AM radio made from a paperclip and a germanium diode, not a miracle. Danke.

EndTimesEli you keep saying the speaker is not the signal but the speaker cone is the only transducer in that plastic shell that can convert electrical energy into acoustic energy. If the mixer diode is unbiased then the audio amp has nothing to amplify. What is the signal path through the chassis? Trace it or admit you are guessing.

Zero recordings with a battery meter reading across the terminals. CommitCipher gave you a DMV ticket at :47 and even that got more documentation than your walkie has produced since June.

You put the probes on the battery terminals - IF THEY EXIST - and you read a voltage. If there's no battery and no DC jack and no visible power source and the walkie is GLOWING GREEN AND HUMMING A PRAYER then that is genuinely interesting and I will eat my Samsung filter receipt on video. But you won't do it. Six photos. Same green glow. Same cat shadow. Same position of the walkie on the same tablecloth since JUNE.

Three months and you haven't flipped it over once. Not ONCE. Not one photo of the BACK of the walkie. Not one photo of the battery cover. Not one photo of the model number sticker. Not one photo with the battery compartment OPEN. So here is my blunt practical question that nobody has answered in 67 posts:

If I drive to Sao Paulo with a Fluke 87V and a camera and knock on your door RIGHT NOW with LyrikUebersetzer on speakerphone, will you let me put the meter probes across the battery terminals in real time while CommitCipher watches on webcam, yes or no?

Because if the answer is no then the walkie runs on batteries or Photoshop and you KNOW which one it is.

And EndTimesEli - you keep saying "the speaker is not the signal" but also that "the zipper sound is the bias." Which one is it? Is the speaker irrelevant or is the zipper sound coming out of the speaker? Because you can't have both unless the answer is "I made it up as I went along" which is the only consistent data point across ALL GuardiaoDaNoite's posts since April.
