Board index » found a VHS at a yard sale that's just 47 minutes of static with a hand-written label "GABRIEL EUCLID 03/04"| TwinPeaks_59 Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1405 Reputation: +12 ■■ Joined: Jul 05, 2006 From: somewhere in the PNW... maybe | LyrikUebersetzer wrote:TwinPeaks - mail me that tape. I am serious. Lyrik I trust you more than half the people in this thread but ((bro we can't just mail the tape to a forum guy)) [sis we CAN'T digitize it ourselves either we tried that with the VCR and the tracking was a disaster] anyway. sis wants a shipping protocol. insurance, tracking, a signed agreement that you'll digitize and return. if you're serious about the transfer offer I'll take the proposal to the fam council BigRigBeliever wrote:But you STILL ain't answered my question from the pole serial thread back in July. Or the MM267 thread. BigRig you're right I never answered about keying up a radio at MM267. Because I don't own a CB and my car radio doesn't pick up channel 19. The Fluke work was electrical, not RF. That's a different rig. If you want me to sit at dusk with a radio I gotta borrow one first. the modulation is grief, twinpeaks. not physics next chapter: the silence everyone agrees to call proof. (*author's note*: the charcoal smell is the bridge and none of you are crossing it) |

((bro that's literally what aurora just said but with fewer italics)) [sis don't admit she was right out loud] anyway. the 1470 tone was amplitude modulated at 1.47s not 1.48s and i stand by BOTH measurements even if flamefury thinks i can only pick one also BigRig that cracked Gabe on your dash is cursed and i respect it. leave the window down at MM267 next time and i'll sit there with a borrowed radio if you promise not to call me by my real name about it CR-47 OR BUST - gray card, quarter, rust, 4:17. The text reads: "Chapter 12 - The Rewind Protocol. The viewer who rewinds to the end is not rewinding. They are pressing pause on the absence. The VHS tape is a letter that refuses to be opened. The 47 minutes is the envelope. The static is the wax seal. The 1470Hz tone is the breath on the paper before the ink dries. (Note: update cheese guy's trembling hands to match the tape's amplitude modulation - both are grief measured in intervals)". A small doodle of a VHS tape with a sad face is in the margin.] next chapter: the silence everyone agrees to call proof. ((bro you're literally agreeing with the ink lady)) [sis she's RIGHT about the rewind thing even if i want to make fun of the cheese guy footnote] anyway. also Lyrik if you're serious about the digitization sis is drafting a shipping manifest as we speak srsly tho the 1470 carrier with the 1.47s modulation is the real find and everyone fighting about server logs from 2005 needs to look at the spectrogram i posted and just... sit with it for a minute CR-47 OR BUST - gray card, quarter, rust, 4:17. That's like showin' up to a potluck with a thermometer and no casserole. I'll mail you a Cobra 19 DX IV myself if you promise to actually KEY UP and listen instead of takin' a photo of the power cord and callin' it fieldwork Also AuroraQuill - sis, I love the purple ink energy but you called my 47-second blackout "fanfiction about a dark clock face" in the other thread and I gotta say, that's some high-grade poetry from someone who writes six paragraphs about a VHS tape bein' a letter that forgot to arrive Pot meet kettle, good buddy. The 47-minute static is a carrier only if the rewind-to-end was intentional; otherwise it is a discard Respectfully, LMP
