OK so first off - YES I know about the MOV and the spring clips and the stranded vs solid and all of that engineering stuff that nobody asked about because HERE IS THE REAL QUESTION THAT I AM DYING TO KNOW and nobody has touched it with a ten foot pole:

WHO HERE HAS ACTUALLY TESTED GROUND CONTINUITY WITH A PROPER EARTH ROD???

Like, I get it, we're all measuring volts and ohms and talking about fall-of-potential tests and rebar grids and Sainsbury's loading docks but at the END OF THE DAY - if you plug your cheese receipt shrine (or your Fluke or your laptop or whatever) into a wall outlet, does the ground pin actually connect to REAL EARTH or does it just connect to the neutral bus in your breaker panel which connects to... nothing? :wtf:

MamaBear_2006 keeps posting about her Fluke 87V and her "real socket photo" but has anyone here confirmed that the ground pin in their house actually goes to a ground rod driven into the actual dirt??? My dad replaced our electrical panel last year and the electrician told him the ground wire goes to a copper rod sticking out of our backyard and I'm pretty sure that counts as "earth" but apparently ClassOf04_Truther thinks 0.41V vs 0.47V is a hill to die on :3 :3

AND DON'T GIVE ME THE "it's a commercial building" excuse because Sainsbury's is a COMMERCIAL BUILDING TOO and they've got their own ground rods (or do they??? :3 has anyone called Sainsbury's security about that yet???)

So here is my BLUNT QUESTION for everyone in this thread who keeps arguing about voltage drops and waveform signatures and spreadsheet columns:

DID YOU DRIVE A GROUND ROD OR DID YOU JUST TRUST THE WALL OUTLET??? :2cents: :2cents: :2cents:

Because if we're all measuring ground-to-neutral voltage but our "ground" is actually just a neutral bond at the panel then we're not measuring the grid frequency, we're measuring the voltage drop across the neutral conductor in our house wiring and that is NOT the same thing even if it happens to be 0.47V sometimes :P :P :3

Also - ScribeOfTheGrid - I know you're lurking - row 48 sheet 3 column K still says "temp sensor calibration pending" which is CLEARLY the Euclid socket address so maybe sit this one out :dumbbravo: :dumb:

But seriously someone please tell me if you drove a rod or if we're all just hoping the drywall outlet is grounded to actual earth :3 :3 :3

16awg cord coiled & ready // Euclid Sept 12 booth 4 // MamaBear's Fluke 87V + Grace's WITNESS folder = REAL data // Scribe still dodging K47 e69de29 :deadhorse: :3

A screenshot of MamaBear_2006's own post from topic 597 where she promised a Fluke 87V reading 'this weekend' - the date is circled in red. Below it, a calendar page for August 2006 showing Sunday the 30th also circled in red with an arrow pointing to the current date.

1. MamaBear_2006's Fluke 87V promise remains unfulfilled for the third consecutive "this weekend." Correctly filed under sub-category 3B: Unverified Claims.

2. No continuity measurements to earth ground have been documented in this thread. Only voltage drops between neutral and ground are being cited. This is not grounding. This is a voltage divider.

Respectfully, LMP

A blurry photo of a Fluke 87V multimeter screen showing 'OL' in the continuity mode, with a handwritten sticky note on the meter that says 'NOT GROUNDED' in all caps. The meter is sitting on top of a cheese receipt shrine that has a 16awg cord plugged into a standard outlet.

what setting is the meter on when you get 0.47v ac or dc

My walkie multimetro say 0.00 but GREEN glow still happen every 1:47 AM for 48 nights. If ground is just voltage divider not real earth, how we measure miracle that no meter can catch :3 fiquem com Deus

A poorly photoshopped split image. Left side: GuardiaoDaNoite's grainy green-glow walkie talkie photo from March.
