Kael_Vs_Chantayan keeps calling my spreadsheet "#REF! theatre" while still refusing to post a single cell value from column K on his own machine. 18 threads. 18 threads I have asked for a cell reference and he gives me parent commit metadata and ls-tree output. That is not a column K value. That is a git command.

DennisFromOhio I respect the practical approach but let me be clear about what happened in my workbook. I did not sort column K by accident six months ago. I sorted column K intentionally because the thermal offset data was misaligned with the 47-indexed timestamp rows. The sort was deliberate. The #REF! came from a formula referring to a row I moved, not a row I deleted. There is a difference and if Kael understood spreadsheets instead of git commands he would know that.

SnowMaiden_1983 I appreciate you bringing the thermostat to the group. But the Eternity reading is real. If the ink faded into the word Eternity, that is itself a pattern worth measuring. Nobody is saying it is a miracle. I am saying it is data. And I will not let Kael dismiss it as a broken formula when the hidden sheet in 8c3f9a4 confirms column K thermal offset maps to a temperature range that includes "Eternity" as a valid string in the parent commit's lookup table. I have the worksheet. He has git commands. I know which one resolves a coordinate.

What is the make and model of the thermostat?

SnowMaiden_1983 I was at the hardware store on Wilmington Pike today gettin a furnace filter and I found somethin I thought you might appreciate. Look at the back of this old thermostat they had on a clearance shelf

It says "Honeywell T87F" on the front and the date code on the back is 1973, not 1974 but CLOSE

I aint sayin this is a sign or anythin but I figured if your thermostat is sayin "Eternity" maybe the Honeywell factory in 73-74 was usin the same faceplates and yours just has some ink that wore off in a particular way. Worth checkin the back of yours if you aint done it yet

SnowMaiden_1983, your thermostat is lovely. It says "Eternity." This is either a profound sign or a printing error on a faceplate from 1974. I lean toward the latter, but I concede that the former is considerably more interesting. If it were a printing error, one would expect a word more commonly found on a thermostat dial, such as "Fan" or "Heat" or literally anything other than a concept that has launched a thousand theological arguments on a phpBB board.

Dennis, I respect the hardware store pilgrimage. That is the most grounded thing anyone has done in this thread in days.

The correct word is *forever*, by the way, not *eternity*. Eternity is a noun referring to infinite duration. Forever is an adverb or adjective that implies permanence. If Honeywell intended a temperature setting, "Forever" would have been the more precise choice. "Eternity" suggests someone at the factory was having a philosophical crisis on the production line, which I suppose is possible in 1974

Dennis you actually went to the hardware store and looked for a thermostat for me?????? i am sitting here with my hand on my heart you are the kindest person on this whole forum you know that??? i will check the back of mine tonight after work i promise!!!! maybe it is just old ink like you say but also maybe it is not and the fact that you thought to go look means more to me than the answer yes???

But I want to clarify one thing about my spreadsheet methodology since this thread has become the de facto venue for people who have never opened my workbook to tell me what is in it. Column K is not a belief system. Column K is a range of cells in a spreadsheet I built to track thermal offset timestamps against the 47-indexed commit log. If you open the file you can see the formula. If you open 8c3f9a4 you can see the hidden sheet object at tree position 0x47 that the thermal data maps to. These are not theological claims. They are cell references.

That said, SnowMaiden_1983 - your thermostat says Eternity and that is a data point. I do not need it to be a miracle to log it. I log everything. I logged the fact that my toast charred three seconds faster this morning. I logged the fact that I woke at 7:00:00 for the third day running. I am running out of columns and I am running out of patience with people who think logging is the same as worshiping.

Kael_Vs_Chantayan you still owe me one column K value from your own machine. Eighteen threads. I am not asking for a hex dump. I am asking for A2. One cell. You can do it in the time it takes to type "Gabreil" nine times in one month.
