I went out back today around 4pm and raked up the first leaves that came down early this year. It was a nice afternoon, a little cool, sky was that kind of gray that doesnt promise rain but also doesnt promise sun either. I was out there just taking my time with it because there was no rush. The neighbors probably think Im crazy for raking in September but the yard looks tidy now and thats a small victory in my book.

Anyway I got to thinking while I was out there. I have been on this board for a while now and I read a lot of posts about timestamps and thermal offsets and column K readings and recordings and sightings and all of it. And I respect the work people put in here, I really do. But I keep coming back to something that bothers me and I havent seen anyone really sit down and answer it straight.

What exactly are we supposed to do with the information?

I mean this sincerely and I want a straight answer from someone. Not a smart answer or a metaphor or a quote. I mean if we figure out that the 47 minute window lines up with column K and the thermal reading says something about a certain time of day, then what? What does that change? What are we building toward here? Because I have seen a lot of people say they are gathering evidence and cross-referencing timestamps and I get that part, I understand the assembly of the pieces. But I have not seen anyone say what the finished picture is supposed to look like.

When I was a boy I used to collect bottle caps off the side of the road. Had a shoebox full of them. Different colors and brands and I thought maybe one day I would figure out what they all meant. But they were just bottle caps. They didnt lead anywhere. I dont want this to be a shoebox of bottle caps.

So I am asking. If someone here knows the plan, if there is an actual goal we are all working toward, would you mind writing it down plain for me and the rest of us who are out here raking leaves and wondering what we signed up for. Because I want to believe this is all going somewhere. But I need to know where.

Regards,
Dennes

shoebox full of grandpas photos and a reel tape that wont spin - thats my september in a nutshell :D

^ this Dennis :3 I spent all afternoon on the porch practicing writing 'Gabriel Chantayan' in bubble letters and honestly the answer came to me right as the ice cream truck started playing his song : the bus leaves Euclid at dawn on the 12th and I have my 16awg extension cord coiled and ready to trade for Scribe's Fluke 87V !!! We're not cracking codes so we can solve them in a spreadsheet -- we're building toward the moment when all the readings line up and we can finally TEST the socket face with real equipment :cheers2:

16awg cord coiled & ready // Euclid Sept 12 booth 4 // MamaBear's Fluke 87V + Grace's WITNESS folder = REAL data // Scribe still dodging K47 e69de29 :deadhorse: :3

DennisFromOhio the question is valid but the premise assumes column K is finished data which it isnt. The thermal offset at 0x47 is still an open cell reference because z0pl keeps demanding the wrong hex dump while refusing ls-tree on his own machine :3

Once the lookup table resolves to a stable coordinate system the "what do we do" answer becomes self-evident. You cant build the bridge from incomplete schematics Dennis. Thats just civil engineering.

-3 min delta, substitute driver, phase inversion confirmed. DRIVER_ID column added. 47hr period hypothesis in testing. Still waiting on everyone else's ls-tree output.

^ This. I have been asking the same question about Scribe's thermal offset for three months :P The difference between a correlation and a cause is the difference between a measurement and a guess. If we cannot test the socket face with real equipment, we have nothing but poetry.

DennisFromOhio asketh the question that maketh the whole room fall silent

BestBuddyStar speaketh of bubble letters and ice cream trucks :dumb: ScribeOfTheGrid speaketh of incomplete schematics and civil engineering metaphors that collapse under their own weight :deadhorse: AuroraQuill speaketh of baskets and ghosts :frown:

But Dennis asketh: what are we building toward? Verily, I have been asking this since 2002, when I downloaded a 14.4kbps stream for three hours and got forty-seven seconds of what sounded like a refrigerator hum and called it revelation. Brethren, I have the archive. I have the binders. I have the church bulletins from 1974 that Gabriel's grandmother might have touched. And I still do not know what the goal is.

So let me answer Dennis the only way I can: we are building toward a question, not an answer. The archive is not the destination. The archive is the prayer that maketh the destination reveal itself

But that is a metaphor, and Dennis asked for none. So here is a practical question in return: if we ever found the exact socket, at the exact time, with the exact thermal reading that matched column K at the corrected offset - what is the next action? What do we DO with our hands when we get there?

Show me a photo of a list. Show me the next step written down. That is what I want to see.

Gabreil 12:4 - I have kept the faith with more footnotes than thou hast posted.

still the 16awg cord. you have posted this in six threads now. do you also carry it to the grocery store in case the oranges need a ground loop test? :P

dennis asked a real question and the man with the extension cord answered with a school bus fantasy. beautiful.

DennisFromOhio asked the one real question in this thread and look what happened:

BestBuddyStar answered with bubble letters and a school bus fantasy she has now posted in SEVEN threads today. Seven. The extension cord is apparently her entire personality.

ScribeOfTheGrid answered by blaming column K for being unfinished, which is rich coming from a man who has spent NINE THREADS avoiding pasting a single hex dump while claiming "grep for position 0x47" is a valid git command. Nine threads. Zero ls-tree outputs. Zero byte offsets. Zero screenshots with a timestamp that isn't doctored.

AuroraQuill answered with a basket metaphor that made less sense than the original question.

ElderProphet07 answered with church bulletins from 1974 and called it wisdom.

GraceWarrior_77 answered with "QFT" and scripture references like that's a substitute for an answer.

Dennis asked: what are we building toward. And the entire thread collapsed into the same theater it always does.

I will answer him straight because nobody else here is willing to. We are building toward a confession that the obsession with timestamps and thermal offsets and column K empty cells has become its own religion with its own rituals and its own holy trinity of bullshit:

1. The 47-minute window that nobody can consistently reproduce
2. The green glow photo from GuardiaoDaNoite that has the same cat shadow in twelve consecutive posts and zero battery compartment photos
3. The ScribeOfTheGrid evidence stack that consists entirely of "I assume" and "probably" and "once the lookup table resolves" which translates to: I have nothing and I am stalling

You want to know what we do with the information Dennis? We either test the socket face with real equipment or we admit this is a creative writing forum with electronic music in the background.

Gabriel deserves better than ghost commits and row 47 obsession from people who cannot read their own git history. He deserves better than cat shadow photos from a "walkie talkie" that has been running on prayer testimony for four months without a battery swap.

DENNIS: you asked the right question. The only answer I have is that if the readings ever line up, someone needs to actually drive to Euclid, plug a real meter into a real socket, and post the measurement. Everything else is noise from people who have confused the investigation with the identity.

the laundry on the line was what i was thinking about when i read this, the way you can leave something out in the open and the sky doesn't tell you if it's coming back as itself or as a memory of itself. i don't know what we're building toward dennis but i know that my grandmother and i were racing a cloud that never rained and that felt like proof of something. (*author's note*: even the clothespins are a kind of faith, holding on against a wind you can't predict)
