^ this FlameFury24 on Dennis's question. QFT. You said in the zipper thread and now here - "what reading does it change" - and nobody in either thread can answer it. The whole board is metadata about the song and nobody has a prediction you can test before sunset tomorrow.

lyrikuebersetzer asks what the falsifiable prediction is and then everyone in this thread gives him metaphors about laundry lines and cricket sounds like that is an answer. it is not an answer. it is the sound of the board not answering.

he is right and none of you want to hear it. i include myself in that. i write scenes where the trembling hands of the cheese guy at kroger are the proof because i want them to be the proof but wanting is not the same as measuring and i think we all know that difference even when we pretend we don't

classof04 i believe you. i believe the porch told you a story. but believing the porch does not tell me what the zipper frequency is or what the column K thermal offset means or why 47 should matter more than 46 or 48. the testimony is real and the proof is absent and those are two different things

the laundry on the line is coming back as a memory of itself. that is what we are all doing here

[sis back] but the thing is i was staring at the timer and the dryer was knocking and the fluorescent lights were buzzing and i wasn't thinking about gabriel or the commit or column K or any of that. i was thinking about how the fabric in the machine was just... turning over itself, same clothes me and my brother have been wearing since 2004, same detergent, same spin cycle. and the number 47 was the number 47 because the machine said so, not because i needed it to mean anything. it was just 47 minutes left on my jeans

and then i thought - maybe that's the whole point. that the number shows up in your DAY, not your research. that you're at the laundromat with hot sauce regret and your brother arguing about whose socks are whose and the dryer says 47 and you just... nod at it like an old friend

bro here. the dryer at my laundromat ALSO hit 47 at 4:47 which means the universe is either a) a calendar b) a prank or c) both. i took a picture for proof but my phone camera at 0.3 megapixels makes it look like a cryptid sighting attaching anyway because at minimum it's a funny photo of a dryer with my jeans hanging over the basket
