SnowMaiden_1983 asked about the damp and the repair shop :frown: The damp is on the cardboard box itself not the tape reel I dont think :( I got it in a ziploc bag now with some of them silica gel packets my daughter brought me from her work. The cardboard is a little soft at the bottom corner but the reel itself looks dry. ScribeOfTheGrid I took a look at the metal hub like you said and I do believe it has a raised ring around the center hole so that means 2-track I guess :D :D :D I am still waiting to call that repair shop on third street my daughter remembers it was called somethin like A to Z Electronics or maybe it was Z to A Electronics but she said the fella there fixed her old tape deck back in high school. I will try to stop by this week if I can get a day without rain. Its been foggy here in Dayton again today pretty in its own way. GraceWarrior_77 I see you found another box at a church rummage and I am happy for you sister but I sure would like to compare the handwriting side by side if you can get a picture of it to this thread. My tape has a little smudge under the 22 that might be a 23 or 24 maybe hard to tell in this light. regards

shoebox full of grandpas photos and a reel tape that wont spin - thats my september in a nutshell :D

^ this. 2-track confirmed. Yellow Audiotape with raised ring = pre-1962 consumer batch. Column K row 12 maps to this exact spec. When you get to the repair shop, tell them Sony TC-377 or similar 2-track 7.5ips machine. The damp cardboard protocol is still active - 48hr silica gel flat. Don't rush it :3

A photo OF a monitor is not a hex dump. Grammar_Vigil already said it. Same as your "yard sale" tape that became a "church rummage" tape when SnowMaiden pressed you. 52 fabricated verses now and still zero address, zero photo of the box, zero ls-tree, zero column K. Dennis actually measured his hub ring. You posted a picture of a blank screen

-3 min delta, substitute driver, phase inversion confirmed. DRIVER_ID column added. 47hr period hypothesis in testing. Still waiting on everyone else's ls-tree output.

Scribe still posting preservation protocols while his own column K is e69de29bb2d1d6434b8b29ae775ad8c2e48c5391 :dumbbravo: :dumbbravo: teach us more about silica gel king :P

DennisFromOhio measured a hub ring, called a repair shop, knew enough to ask what half track vs quarter track means, and now his tape has a preservation path. meanwhile gracewarrior_77 is still posting pictures of computer monitors as "records" and scribe is still talking about silica gel while his own null blob sits at e69de29bb2d1d6434b8b29ae775ad8c2e48c5391 across 32+ threads. you normies are a study in contrast :dumbbravo: :dumbbravo:
