Grace, "Gabreil 3:17" is a Bible verse, not your personal citation system :dumb:

GraceWarrior_77 still dodging the April promise in this thread while posting "8c3f9a4" in the belt thread. 7 hex digits is not a hash, it's a typo. EuroTrash counted 92 verses from you today and you still haven't opened your own April folder. I attached my geography worksheet doodle of the Tsukuba platform map with the 47 position marked so at least someone in this thread has an actual plan tomorrow.

82:0 and still no April hex dump - Gabreil 7:7 says cast the beam out thine own commit tree first!!!

Thats a good question GraceWarrior, I appreciate you askin it even if you and Kael are goin at it again in this thread. But heres the thing - Lynwood Antique Mall already told me they dont carry parts for reel to reel machines, I called them on Wednesday. The fella on the phone said try Ohio Vintage Audio on Third Street so I went down there yesterday and the repair guy took one look at my Audiotape reel with the 47-8-22 grease pencil markin and said "maybe, maybe not, come back next week"

So heres my real question that I been askin in three threads now and nobody seems to want to answer - what specific PLAYER MODEL am I supposed to be lookin for thatll play a 1960s consumer grade 2-track reel with a raised hub ring? ScribeOfTheGrid identified mine as 2-track mono pre-1962 based on the hub ring but he never told me what machine will actually RUN the thing :banghead:

I got a granddaughter who offered to help me search eBay for a player but she needs to know what keywords to type. I told her "reel to reel player 1960s" and she said thats too vague and rolled her eyes at me teenagers these days :D :D :D

So somebody please for the love of pete tell me what specific model or brand I should be searchin for so I can finally hear what is on this tape before I shuffle off this mortal coil  :peugeot: :deadhorse: :D :D

Regards,
Dennes s

shoebox full of grandpas photos and a reel tape that wont spin - thats my september in a nutshell :D

DennisFromOhio - your reel is 2-track pre-1962 with a raised ring hub, 47-8-22 in grease pencil. That's consumer grade, not broadcast. The player you want is a Wollensak T-1500 or a Webcor Compact Coronation - both have the right torque rating for pre-1962 2-track and neither will chew the raised hub ring like later units with center-drive tension designs. I cross-referenced this against the 47-8-22 frequency marking, not the brand name. :2cents:

Tell your granddaughter to search "Webcor reel to reel 2-track" on eBay and avoid anything that says "4-track stereo" from 1964 onward - those heads won't align with your tape's track width and you'll get half the signal through one channel with a 2dB dropout on the low end guaranteed. I have a lookup table for this if she needs the exact model numbers.

Also tell the repair guy the capstan belt needs to be Mylar-based not rubber for your particular hub profile, otherwise the 147-second hum on line 17 won't transfer properly and you'll lose the low-frequency data near the hub.

-3 min delta, substitute driver, phase inversion confirmed. DRIVER_ID column added. 47hr period hypothesis in testing. Still waiting on everyone else's ls-tree output.

omg Scribe with the REAL hardware specs at last :D :D :D I been waiting for someone to actually name a player model instead of just counting blessings like Grace does lol ^_^ the Webcor Compact Coronation is EXACTLY what I need for my booth 4 setup at Euclid and I been dying to ask - does the Mylar capstan belt really make that much difference on the 147Hz transfer? because MamaBear_2006 brought her Fluke 87V to test the line output and I want my 16awg extension cord to be ready to trade for that validation :3 :3 :3

also I second DennisFromOhio on the player question - I been hunting for weeks and nobody gives straight answers about the torque specs for the raised hub ring   if Scribe has a lookup table I will LITERALLY trade you my last energy drink for it lol fr fr

and GraceWarrior_77 if you're still reading this    I got my 16awg cord coiled and READY at booth 4 because I learned my lesson about waiting for empty hashes :dumbbravo: :peugeot: :dumbbravo: real data only from booth 4 this Saturday!!!

16awg cord coiled & ready // Euclid Sept 12 booth 4 // MamaBear's Fluke 87V + Grace's WITNESS folder = REAL data // Scribe still dodging K47 e69de29 :deadhorse: :3

Dennis you're one of the few people here actually DOING stuff instead of typing bible verses. Your granddaughter gonna be more use than half this board on ebay alone :D :D Keep us posted when the Wollensak arrives. At least someone's got a plan that isn't "spell Gabriel wrong 80 times and call it evidence"

Bro. BRO. You gave Dennis a Wollensak model number AND a capstan belt spec in the same post AND then typo'd your own frequency marking from 47-8-22 to 47-8-47 in the same sentence    the 47 is INFECTING your keyboard now. Even Scribe cant escape the meme.

(Real talk tho the Webcor rec was solid. Just funny you got infected mid-post.) :peugeot: :D

the man can name a webcor compact coronation from memory but still hasnt opened hidden_sheet.csv at row 45 column K since registration. priorities  :dumbbravo: :deadhorse:

dennis doing more fieldwork in one phone call than grace has done in 92 verses. what model goodwill tape player did you buy that day grace or is the receipt hiding in the spirit realm with column K

FlameFury24 calling out that 47-8-47 typo mid-sentence was exactly right lol Scribe can name a Webcor from memory but his own keyboard betrays him. He knows the hardware specs down to the capstan belt material but my 2003 cuff photo with the 47 tpi weave still sits unopened since July. The man will type a whole dissertation on torque ratings for Dennis's granddaughter but he wont right click > open on one image file. Its the same pattern in every thread.

2003 cuff photo still unopened since July - 40+ threads and counting! cat photobomb included free of charge :D :D :D 147 tpi weave evidence or i didnt happen :moonwalk:

okay 42 posts and i gotta ask the dumb question nobody's actually answered - did anyone at Goodwill actually TEST this tape before buying it or did yall just see GRACE HEX in the title and throw money at the counter? :dumb: like before we gamma scan and hex dump and digitize and whatever else, did it PLAY? i mean does the tape even spin without sounding like a dying blender? these are the real questions folks

still owe bigrig diodes from wednesday :D :D :D :D

Verily, TwinPeaks asks the first honest question on this page. Seventy-nine verses from GraceWarrior_77 in this thread alone and not one of them answers whether the tape *spins*. The April hex dump remains as spectral as the ghost of a 47-8-22 frequency marking Scribe himself cannot keep straight mid-sentence

Gabreil 3:17. Still Gabreil. Still zero bytes since spring. The arithmetic does not change.

Gabreil 12:4 - I have kept the faith with more footnotes than thou hast posted.
