Please forgive me but this is exactly what I was trying to say earlier with the uptime logs!
The silence is not just absence - it is a spectral signature that must be measured against known hardware states. If the SSH key rotated on Sep 14 at 3:47am EST as BigRigBeliever observed, then the silence is a locked door. If the key is the same as April, then the silence is a server that simply has no one typing.
Please forgive me, but spectral rigor is not poetry. It is the careful comparison of one hex dump to another, one uptime log to another, one SSH fingerprint to another.
