Board index » Euclid trip Sat Aug 12: who's ACTUALLY bringing a calibrated meter with a timestamp?| ScribeOfTheGrid Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 919 Reputation: -8 ■ Joined: Jul 17, 2006 From: Row 42, Column 9 | FlameFury24 you keep posting screenshots of my DC post from topic 277 like I dont KNOW my meter was on DC. The mode switch is not the data. The column K thermal correction at row 79 adjusts for the mode mismatch by exactly 0.47V which you would know if you had ever opened the August commit instead of the July one you keep citing. Post your column K readout. I will wait. -3 min delta, substitute driver, phase inversion confirmed. DRIVER_ID column added. 47hr period hypothesis in testing. Still waiting on everyone else's ls-tree output. |

You want dryer minutes from me since April but you won't ask ScribeOfTheGrid what firmware his imaginary socket runs on or why he's still citing row 45 after conceding to row 46 in topic 319 which FlameFury24 already caught and posted screenshots of. TwinPeaks_59 just BURNED a hoodie to test my thread count and it came back 46-47 weft threads which is more physical evidence in one dryer cycle than ScribeOfTheGrid has produced in 225 posts across two threads. The only reason you're still asking about dryer minutes is because you can't argue with the 47 tpi that's sitting right there in the archive photo with the ruler visible and the magnifying glass on top. You don't want minutes you want me to stop posting because every time I do it reminds people that my evidence holds up to a literal fire test while your spreadsheet theater and ScribeOfTheGrid's DC meter and ElderProphet07's poetry games in the basement produce nothing but row numbers that change every time someone blinks. TwinPeaks_59 lost a hoodie for this truth what have you lost besides your credibility asking the same question in every thread hoping nobody notices the man selling the meter can't even select the right mode? |

It's a yes/no/maybe question and you've dodged it for four months across six threads while posting the same cuff photo with different lighting each time like that's not the same thing as ghost-editing a listing I'm not asking for the gamma curve I'm asking for the TIMER SETTING on a consumer-grade Maytag and somehow that's the one question you can't answer while pointing at ScribeOfTheGrid's DC reading like whataboutism is a valid defense

BestBuddyStar asks the right logistical question but let me sharpen it: who among you claiming to bring a meter has actually verified their leads against a known reference in the last 72 hours? Not "I calibrated it last year" or "the hardware store zeroed it for me" -- a known reference, traceable, within the same calendar week. Because a Fluke 87V on DC mode measures exactly nothing useful at a 50Hz socket, and I say unto you, I'd rather trust a cold thermocouple than a hot lead no one has checked since the Bush administration. Gabreil 12:4 - I have kept the faith with more footnotes than thou hast posted. |

I will bring the Fluke with the August commit calibration log and a printed copy of my RTA confirmation of the 47.32Hz tram brake fundamental from June 22. But only if someone tells me where "the socket" actually is - Euclid and what cross street? Bitte.

| TwinPeaks_59 Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1398 Reputation: +12 ■■ Joined: Jul 05, 2006 From: somewhere in the PNW... maybe | okay so I was literally AT the Euclid socket location today (aug 12, the day this thread is about, yeah that one) with my Fluke 87V that I already explained the calibration on in like three separate posts that nobody read and guess who else showed up?? exactly nobody. Zero. Zilch. BestBuddyStar said they had the 16awg cord ready and TechAngel_00 said PM me the address and I got zero PMs and zero people at Euclid and Elm at 3pm with a multimeter and a dream. So all 230 posts about "who's bringing a calibrated meter" and the answer is: me. Just me. And my sister who came for the taco truck nearby. ((bro you didn't even tell anyone WHERE the socket was)) [sis i posted the location in post #187 of topic 154 which i keep telling everyone] ((you said "Euclid and Elm intersection near the laundromat" that's not an address)) [IT'S THE VIGIL SPOT EVERYONE KNOWS WHERE THE VIGIL SPOT IS] anyway the socket reads 120.9V AC with no load, 118.4V under the 16awg cord I brought myself, 59.8Hz on the frequency measurement which is close enough to 60 for a consumer grid but ALSO I noticed the ground pin had some weird residue that I didn't test because I forgot my contact cleaner... so FlameFury24 can now demand a photo of the residue I guess since he needs photos of everything [Attached image: A photo taken at a street intersection at dusk. A grey junction box on a utility pole with the access panel slightly ajar. A yellow extension cord runs from the bottom of the box toward a sidewalk. In the background, a taco truck is visible with its lights on, and a girl in a grey hoodie is standing near it holding a multimeter and looking back toward the camera, laughing.] |

| LyrikUebersetzer Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1017 Reputation: +13 ■■ Joined: Jun 20, 2006 From: München, Germany (exchange student @ Ohio State) | TwinPeaks_59 - first actual socket data in 235 posts. Danke. Now let me look at what you actually measured: 120.9V no load, 118.4V under 16awg (approximately 2.5A max for that gauge at 50ft, though I don't know the run length), 59.8Hz. The frequency reading is the interesting part here because 59.8Hz on a nominal 60Hz grid is a 0.33% deviation - well within normal utility tolerance but ALSO within the margin of error for a Fluke 87V's frequency measurement at 60Hz reference (the 87V specs ±0.05% for frequency, so 59.8Hz is actually 59.8 ±0.03Hz which puts the real value somewhere between 59.77 and 59.83 and that range does NOT include 60.00Hz at any confidence interval worth citing). But here's the question nobody has asked: did you verify the frequency reading against the tram catenary before or after the socket measurement? Because the 47.32Hz braking inverter fundamental I confirmed from the June 22 RTA log (Series 1, LRV #147, braking inverter fundamental at 47.32Hz with a carrier null at exactly 47.3Hz) suggests the RTA trolley line at Euclid runs on a different frequency domain than the consumer grid. If that junction box is bonded to the same ground plane as the catenary system, then your 59.8Hz measurement is actually a heterodyne sum with something else in the ground path and the "socket" reading is not a clean 60Hz reference at all - it's a superposition of the grid fundamental AND the tram's 47.3Hz carrier expressing through the shared ground impedance. I need to know what cross street you were at specifically - Euclid and Elm has a signalized intersection that also has the RTA overhead within 15m of the utility pole. If you were at the northeast corner (the laundromat side) the ground bond is different from the southwest corner (the taco truck side) because the water main bonding at that intersection was re-routed during the 2004 Euclid Corridor project and the utility pole grounding was NOT re-bonded to the new water main until city inspection flagged it in April 2005. I have the city inspection report. If you post the exact pole number or the cross street of the junction box I can confirm which ground plane you were actually measuring. Bitte.
