Sub-category 3B is from ASTM D3775-03, correct? That is the standard method for warp thread count in woven textiles, which requires a minimum 1-inch traverse with a calibrated traverse rod or a pick glass of known magnification. ClassOf04_Truther has failed to specify either. 47 tpi means nothing without the instrument traceability behind it. A hand-count under a 2x loupe and a hand-count under a 10x reticle are not the same measurement, and claiming "primary source textile evidence" while refusing to name the tool is the same problem as posting spectral data without the equipment chain. TwinPeaks_59 can mock spreadsheet rigor all day, but at least when I write down 47.32Hz I can tell you exactly which LRV model and which RTA maintenance log it came from. Where is the ASTM reference for the hoodie, ClassOf04_Truther? Where is the magnification factor? Without those numbers your count is an anecdote, not evidence, and I do not build my thesis on anecdotes.
