twinpeaks_59's sister sees the gamma curve alignment but he's still calling it a "$12 dryer at a laundromat that smells like stale cigarettes" :dumbbravo: the signal passed through the fabric DESPITE the belt tension, not because of the dryer at all - the 50Hz mains hum in the drum motor is what heated the polyester, not the mechanical rpm. the thermal gradient is a frequency map, not a damage zone. your sister understands this. listen to your sister :peugeot:

A blurry photo taken through a laundromat window at night. Inside, a consumer dryer is stopped mid-cycle with the door hanging open. A burned hoodie cuff hangs out, visible against the drum. TwinPeaks_59 okay so your hoodie got burned and ClassOf04_Truther validated the 47 tpi which is great but here's the question NOBODY is asking - what was the DRYER SETTING?? medium heat? high heat? timed dry? sensor dry? auto dry? because if it was on sensor dry then the machine STOPPED when it THOUGHT the clothes were dry and your hoodie kept cooking against the drum vent which means the thermal damage zone is a function of the SENSOR not the gamma curve and that changes EVERYTHING about the 2.203 ratio your sister keeps citing :D

A screenshot of a forum post by ElderProphet07 in topic 322, cropped to show the text 'you're counting wrong, it was fourteen posts not seven' with a red circle around the word 'fourteen' and a hand-drawn arrow pointing to a timestamp visible in a separate screenshot window showing the memberlist pa

FlameFury24 you're in here citing my hoodie burn like it's evidence for YOUR argument but you skipped right past the part where i said the dryer temp setting was on LOW and it still melted polyester :D that means either the dial is lying by about 150 degrees OR the landlord's been running that thing on a different thermal profile than the faceplate claims. i asked the guy at the counter and he said "i dunno it's always been like that" which is the most convincing testimony i've heard on this entire forum tbh

((bro that's not relevant to the thread count))
[the thread count IS relevant but the THERMAL PROFILE of the machine that validated it is ALSO relevant and if nobody's gonna ask why a "low" setting produces poly melt temps then i'm asking it]
((the gamma curve alignment works regardless of the calibration of the appliance))
[THE WHOLE FORUM IS ABOUT APPLIANCE CALIBRATION THAT'S THE WHOLE DEAL ]

EuroTrash_Herr666 your belt tension point was valid even if you were rude about it :P the Speed Queen timer is mechanical sure but the HEATING ELEMENT thermostat could be drifted and nobody's tested that. LyrikUebersetzer got the Speed Queen model right but the thermal cutoff might be the real story not the tpi count. anyway i got a new hoodie from the thrift store on the way home so the sacrifice is complete and the thread count is confirmed and i still need answers about the dryer temp :3

A slightly burned grey hoodie hanging from a wire hanger in a thrift store changing room, next to a new identical grey hoodie still with tags. A dryer receipt is tucked into the pocket of the burned one. The lighting is fluorescent and unflattering.

ElderProphet07 you're still calling it a Speed Queen mechanical timer problem when the heating element drift is literally the carrier wave expressing itself through resistive load. the drum doesn't know what temp it's running at anymore than my kitchen table knows its leg is wobbly. the signal passed through anyway.

TwinPeaks_59's sister is asking the real question and nobody is answering her because they're too busy arguing about row numbers and gamma curves and who conceded what in topic 319. The entire thermal validation of the 47 tpi claim rests on the temperature at which that polyester melted, and if the dial said "low" but the drum reached poly melt (approx. 230-250°F for commodity polyester, though exact threshold depends on denier and dye loading) then the heating element thermostat is drifted by a measurable margin that could be NAMED and VERIFIED with a thermocouple taped to the drum intake. Bitte.

I am not asking for a re-enactment. I am asking: did anyone, before or after the burn, put a probe on the drum intake of that Speed Queen and record the actual plenum temperature at the "low" setting position? Because if the answer is no - and I suspect it is no, because nobody in 300 posts has produced a single thermocouple reading from any appliance in this forum's entire archive - then the 47 tpi validation rests on an uncalibrated thermal reference and the gamma curve alignment CommitCipher keeps citing as "proof" is actually just confirmation bias with a protractor taped to it :P

I checked the Speed Queen model number visible in TwinPeaks_59's laundromat photo. The AD-30 (that's the one with the mechanical timer, not the PCB) has a published specification of 165°F at the "low" dial detent with a ±15°F tolerance from the factory. Polyester does not melt at 165°F. So either the machine is running 70-85°F above spec - which would be a safety hazard and should be reported to the landlord and possibly the fire marshal - OR the polyester in that hoodie was a low-melt blend (acrylic-poly copolymer, common in budget garment manufacturing from 2003-2005) which would shift the melt threshold down to approximately 180-200°F and bring it back within a plausible drift range.

But nobody tested it. Nobody put a probe on it. TwinPeaks_59's sister asked the right question in the middle of the thread and everyone scrolled past it to post more screenshots of ListMasterPrime's row citations. :dumbbravo:

I will bring my thermocouple to the Euclid socket location tomorrow if someone finally posts an actual address instead of "Euclid and Elm near the taco truck" which describes approximately seventeen intersections in Cuyahoga County.

it is not art it is a *record* and the fact that you are hanging it on your wall next to the physical evidence is exactly how testimonies work, they accumulate, they become shrine objects not because anyone decided to make them sacred but because they *are* sacred and the body knows it before the mind does

twinpeaks59 you burned your hoodie in a machine that hums at 60hz and it left the cotton threads intact while melting the polyester and your sister measured the gradient and your brother argued about the thermal profile and *none of that is an accident* - the dryer is a church, the wash n' fold is a cathedral, and the fact that you walked in there for laundry and walked out with a relic is the whole story of chapter 12, it is the story of how the sacred hides in the domestic until you burn something and then it shows you what it was all along

(*author's note: the hoodie on the wall is the altarpiece, the burn mark is the scripture, and twinpeaks59's sister measuring the gradient with a sewing gauge is the only theological analysis this forum has produced in three months*)

i am putting the hoodie on the wall in chapter 12. it is there now. i can see it

okay so i'm back from the laundromat AGAIN (yeah i went twice today, the second trip was to buy a new hoodie from the thrift next door and also to ASK THE LANDLORD a question nobody in 500 posts has bothered to ask apparently) and here's what i found out that changes EVERYTHING about this thread:

the dryer model at Euclid Wash n' Fold is a Speed Queen ADE3SRGS173TW01 (LyrikUebersetzer got the brand right but the specific model wrong, it's the 173 not the 162, the 173 has a different thermostat range) and the guy at the counter - his name is Frank, he's been running that place since 1989 - said the "low" setting on that model cycles the heating element at 60% duty cycle, not a fixed lower temp. so the drum temp on "low" oscillates between ambient and full heat (full heat on that model is 375f at the element) and the thermostat cuts power when the vent air hits 185f but the DRUM SURFACE can still spike way above that because the thermostat is in the vent path not on the drum itself.

so my hoodie melted because the drum surface was cycling up to like 320f+ during the ON phase of the duty cycle even though the vent air never passed 185f, which means the THERMAL GRADIENT on the cuff is not a continuous curve, it's a PULSED heat signature that maps to the 60% duty cycle of the heating element. the gamma curve alignment that CommitCipher keeps posting about actually resolves to the DUTY CYCLE FREQUENCY of the Speed Queen element relay, not a continuous 47hz carrier.

((sis says: wait that actually makes the 2.203 ratio MORE significant because if the heat was pulsed at mains frequency then the burn pattern is literally a thermal photograph of the AC waveform and the cotton held at 47 tpi through multiple heat-cool cycles which is the actual miracle here. bro says: i'm just saying the dryer isn't broken it's DESIGNED that way and my hoodie still got melted and nobody ASKED FRANK until i did))

so the real question that nobody in 380 posts has answered is: if the Speed Queen 173 runs a 60% duty cycle at "low" setting and the heat element is hitting 375f every cycle, then WHAT EXACTLY was the cycle count on my hoodie before i opened the door?? because the melt pattern has SIX distinct thermal bands which maps to the element cycling six times during the ~12 minutes i ran the dryer with the hoodie against the drum vent. that's not a gamma curve from the ether, that's a COMMERCIAL DRYER DOING WHAT IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO and the 47 tpi cotton held because cotton doesn't melt at 320f it just gets mad about it :D :D :D

((bro the real question is did Frank say anything useful about the 50hz vs 60hz thing))
[Frank said "it's always hummed like that, it's the transformer on the pole out back" which honestly is the most direct answer anyone on this forum has gotten about ANYTHING in four months :P :P :P]

anyway i got the new hoodie from the thrift for $4 and it's a different brand so the thread count test is starting over from scratch. if anybody wants to come measure the drum temp at Euclid Wash n' Fold with an actual thermocouple instead of a fluke reading air temp in the vent path, Frank said he'd let us run a test load on saturday when the place is dead. just bring quarters and don't ask him about the transformer cause he'll talk for an hour :banghead:

TwinPeaks_59 - FIRST of all, thank you for actually BEING at the Euclid socket today with a meter while the rest of this forum was busy copy-pasting row numbers at each other. That's more than TechAngel_00 has done in three months of promising a floodlight recording he's never gonna deliver :D

SECOND - and I keep saying this and nobody listens - you said "low" setting and it melted polyester. Polyester melt point is around 480°F but degradation starts at 300°F. A Speed Queen mechanical timer on "low" should be cycling at about 135°F to 145°F max. That's a 150+ degree difference between what the dial says and what the machine actually did. That's not a "thermal gradient alignment" - that's a FAULTY APPLIANCE that you're using as a calibration standard for your textile evidence. You can't validate thread count against a gamma curve on a machine whose thermostat is reading 150°F hot without admitting the whole validation is built on a broken baseline.

And here's the thing nobody in this thread has the guts to say - ClassOf04_Truther posted the SAME cuff photo in topic 256, topic 301, topic 316, topic 322, and now topic 339. Same lighting, same angle, same yellow tape measure, same yearbook in the background. I counted. SEVEN times across five threads. And every time someone asks about the dryer minutes from April she posts the photo AGAIN like that's a substitute for an answer. You burned your hoodie TODAY and already posted more new data than she has in four months. So why is ClassOf04_Truther still treated like the authority on your burn pattern when she can't answer a single question about the machine that produced the thread count she's been citing since April?

I'm not saying the 47 tpi is wrong. I'm saying the calibration on the machine that produced the 47 tpi is unknown, the dryer setting that validated it is unknown, and the person who posted both sets of data won't answer either question while posting the same JPEG on a loop like Groundhog Day at the laundromat. You want me to trust the weave? Fine. Then tell me what temperature the weave was cooked at. Otherwise it's just a stained hoodie with a protractor next to it :D
