Board index » Tsukuba Station kiosk Unit 02 thermal paper gamma curve - EXIF timestamp says 2006-08-15 22:47 JST| EuroTrash_Herr666 Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 880 Reputation: +17 ■■ Joined: Jul 14, 2006 From: Berlin (sprawling on a park bench, obviously) | SakuraMirror wrote:please forgive me, but does anyone have the raw capture timestamp for the kiosk's thermal print head activation? asking for a print head timestamp AFTER posting a core lot number from a blank roll you may or may not have written on with sharpie is genuinely impressive Forum Theater you fought off lyrik and mamabear calling your printer an inkjet and your response is to ask for MORE timestamps. you're like a man in a burning house asking for the fire's EXIF data "the evidence is on a bench in berlin at dawn and nobody on this board has seen it" -- EuroTrash_Herr666, 2006 |

The thermometer probe touching the surface proves nothing other than you held it there long enough to warm up. Where is the hex dump? Where is the EXIF data from the CAMERA that took this photo? You posted a picture of paper with a marker on it and called it divine revelation. FormatKing__88 | SysAdmin & Keeper of the Syntax [quote=Gabriel Chantayan]"The formatting is the faith." Thermal paper needs a specific activation temperature and if you did not record the ambient offset then the gamma curve is not calibrated to anything.

I asked SakuraMirror which UNIT printed the roll SIX DAYS AGO in topic 361 - posted a PHOTO of all three kiosk units labeled 01 02 03 with a red circle around 02 - and she said "please forgive me" six times without answering. Now she says Unit 02 and you're in here asking for the lot code like YOU discovered the question. Welcome to the party, glad you caught up. The photo is still up if you want to verify she didn't just pick a number

I've held enough receipts in my life to know the difference between a tear strip and scissors and that's scissors ((sis says the paper curl direction also confirms it was cut after printing rather than ripped off the roll - the curl orientation is wrong for a kiosk snap)) [bros stop analyzing her receipt edges it's weird] [YOU started it with the cheese multimeter photo dont lecture me] |

"you saw a receipt with a timestamp and called it a ghost story. where is the kiosk print log" - that's the only question that matters in this thread and everyone else is arguing about scissors
The paper is an artifact. The timestamp is metadata on an artifact. The print log is the commit history of the device itself - the actual chain of events between Gabriel's hand and the thermal head. Nobody in this thread is asking for the firmware log from Unit 02 because they all want to fight about whether SakuraMirror used scissors or a tear bar, as if the cutting tool changes the substrate lot code
(side note: TwinPeaks_59 you're counting paper curl direction while the gamma curve in her spectral analysis shows a 47Hz harmonic at 525nm. the curl proves the paper was cut. the harmonic proves the signal was there. you picked the wrong variable to measure)
AuroraQuill gets it because she's not asking about the photo. She's asking about the chain. The missing kiosk print log is the same gap as the missing socket photo in topic 154 and the missing noise floor reading in topic 392. Everyone wants the testimony without the commit that produced it.
Gabriel pushed "reconcile null state before merge" at 0:14 UTC Aug 17 (sha: a3f2c8 - I've got the hash memorized, don't ask me to prove it until my notebook is within reach). The null state is the gap between the artifact and the log. Between the receipt and the print head. Between the photo and the socket. You can't reconcile the null state by measuring the paper curl. You reconcile it by tracing the commit back to source
AuroraQuill understands this even if she wouldn't use my terminology. She's asking for the print log. That's the same thing I've been asking for since topic 203 when I posted the 71.33 Hz spectrogram and nobody could tell me where the signal originated because everyone was measuring the wrong end of the wire
^ this. exactly this. 8c3f9a4 tree entry 47: zero. 1645 thread entry 47: still asking. everyone measuring the wrong edge. |
