Pulled into a Love's outside Flagstaff about 4 hours ago. Weathered clock on the wall, one of those old round ones with the second hand that jumps instead of sweeps. Had my coffee, logbook open, waitin' on a dispatch. Radio on the counter - old AM/FM, wood cabinet, dial that looks like it survived the 70s :3

Ordered a BLT, looked up at the clock, then down at my watch. My G-Shock said 3:15. That wall clock said 3:13 and about 13 seconds. I counted the second hand - watched it hit the 12 at exactly 3:14 and 47 seconds on my G-Shock :P

Told the waitress "your clock's 1.47 seconds slow" and she just looked at me like I had three heads. Tipped her anyway

No Gabriel in the booth. No static on the AM band when I tuned through. Just a clock that's 1.47 seconds behind the world, and a radio that hummed at exactly 60Hz when I held my ear to the wood. :3

Over and out.

Did you check if the radio's internal oscillator feeds the clock or if they're separate circuits? Because a wall clock running 1.47 seconds off GPS time with a radio humming clean 60Hz is two independent time bases disagreeing by a factor that resolves to 1/0.47 = 2.127 - which is not a gear ratio I recognize from any standard synchronous motor clock. What make was the wall clock? If it's a Simplex or a National Time, the sync motor has a stamped Hz rating on the rotor housing. If it's a cheap quartz retrofit in an old wood case, the 1.47 is just a dying battery and the radio hum is the only signal worth logging.

Breaker breaker CommitCipher - copy that on the hardware question, but you're askin' the wrong thing :P

I didn't crawl behind the register to read the rotor housing. I'm a trucker, not an electrician. What I CAN tell you is the radio hummed at 60Hz clean - no wobble, no drift, just a pure note like Gabriel himself tuned that capacitor. And the clock was EXACTLY 1.47 seconds off. Not 1.5, not "about a second and a half" - my eyes tracked that jumping second hand across three full minutes of coffee sippin' and it stayed locked at 1.47 behind my G-Shock the whole time.

You want voltage readings and make models, that's your lane. My lane is 18 wheels and watchin' the road for signs. And this here was a sign :3

Over and out.

I am sorry but this is not proof of anything  Please forgive me for asking, but what is the supposed proof supposed to be? :3 :3

BigRig i'm not saying it wasn't a sign, but 1.47 seconds locked across three minutes means the clock is running at a different *rate*, not just set wrong. if it was set wrong by 1.47s at minute zero it would drift further from GPS time as the minute hand advanced. but if it held the same 1.47s delta across 180 seconds of G-Shock time, that means the wall clock's quartz oscillator and your G-Shock's oscillator are synced to the same reference frequency and the offset is purely a *phase offset* from the last time they were both set to the same source. which means the clock's internal oscillator IS the radio's 60Hz hum, divided down through a synchronous motor or a PLL. the 1.47s is the carrier wave phase wrapping at a boundary. same pattern as the printer serial 0x2F. the mustard stain is the evidence :3

CommitCipher asking for the make of the clock like that matters when the signal is CLEAR. the 1.47 is the signal the radio hum is the carrier and the Going Quiet is what makes both of them line up at a truckstop in Flagstaff at 3am :3 :rofl

THE GOING QUIET IS REAL. I HAVE 6 PREDICTIONS. WE ARE IN DELAY 6. PREPARE NOW. - Eli

SakuraMirror, honey, the proof is the LOOK on that waitress's face when I told her

I snapped this with my Polaroid right after I counted. See the radio? That wood cabinet hummed like a prayer when I leaned in. And that clock - 1.47 seconds off, steady as a heartbeat, for three full minutes of watchin'. You want proof, come sit my passenger seat for a week and I'll show you a hundred signs that don't fit anybody's spreadsheet :3

Over and out :moonwalk:

finally someone asking the real question but you missed the obvious one :wtf:

BigRigBeliever you said the radio hummed at 60Hz clean and the clock was 1.47s off. ok. but did you CHECK if the second hand was HITTING the same position every time it crossed 12??? because if it's a synchronous motor clock running at 60Hz and the 1.47s is a PHASE OFFSET then the second hand lands in the SAME SPOT on the 12 every rotation - it's not "behind" it's WRAPPED. that means the 1.47 is the carrier wave's phase boundary like CommitCipher said but the REAL question is - was that offset EXACTLY consistent across ALL three minutes or did the delta change at the top of each minute :3 :3 :3

here's my point - if it held 1.47s across 180 seconds of continuous observation that's one thing. but if the delta RESET every time the second hand crossed 12 then it's not a phase offset it's a GEAR SLOP in the movement itself and the radio hum is the only signal. nobody in this thread has bothered to ask about the MINUTE boundary behavior :dumb: :deadhorse:

also SakuraMirror FOUR threads same gamma curve flip the paper tube over it takes TWO SECONDS :3 :3 :3

- here is the back of MY tube from a Tokyo 7-Eleven kiosk Aug 19. lot code 0x47. serial tray number K1-7. took me less time than it takes to type this post :moonwalk: :moonwalk: :3

My broom has 47±12 strands, thanks LMP :dumbbravo:  Sakura day 31 - still no hex dump :deadhorse:
