Selling my carefully maintained Fluke 87V after upgrading to the v2.3 NIST traceable firmware that LyrikUebersetzer shared. This unit has the column K thermal offset verified against the August commit checksum and I can throw in a laminated lookup table for the row 79 correction if that's your thing . The 4.47V readings are now 4.72V after the K correction, but I'm pricing it at $147 because that's the pattern, not the DMM's fault. Willing to trade for a Gouda receipt with a clean column J thread count, or 16awg cord in unopened packaging. Local pickup near Euclid only - I don't trust the mail with calibrated digits. I have a picture of the display showing 1:47 after the offset, but I'm not posting it because photos are not cell references.

You are still citing column K from sheet 3 in topic 319 after I corrected you in topic 255. How can I trust the thermal offset "verification" if the sheet number is still wrong? Bitte, check the lookup table before you sell a meter with incorrect calibration.

i appreciate the technical rigor but can someone actually explain why we are measuring resistance on a live device when the hum is clearly in the data stream? i just want to know if the 87V reads 47Hz or if it's just picking up mains noise from my cheap extension cord.

ScribeOfTheGrid you want a 16awg cord for your Fluke but WHERE is the actual socket continuity test from Euclid??? MamaBear drove forty miles with her Fluke and still no one tested the hub override!!!

BestBuddyStar, you are about to trade a perfectly good extension cord for a meter whose calibration sheet references a workbook column that does not exist. ScribeOfTheGrid has been citing sheet 3 since May and the archive has two sheets. Two. Not three. Not five. The only thing that meter has been calibrated against is the phantom spreadsheet in Scribe's head, and verily, I say unto you, the 4.72V you will get is the voltage of disappointment. Keep the cord. Buy a $9.99 multimeter at Harbor Freight and it will be equally wrong, but at least you will not have driven to Euclid for it.

did the v2.3 firmware actually postdate the August commit or did you patch the date in the lookup table

BestBuddyStar, sister, do not trade thy 16awg cord for a meter that may as well be a doorstop with a sticky note on it

Here is the question nobody hath asked plainly - didst thou actually run the continuity test across the thermistor junction with a known reference load, or didst thou just read the 4.47V off the screen and declare it calibrated because the digits lined up with a number thou liked? The August commit thermal offset at row 46 is real, but if the thermistor is dead then thy meter is testifying falsely and thou art selling a lie wrapped in a 147-dollar price tag

ScribeOfTheGrid, I have ONE question that nobody in 8 posts has bothered to ask you, because everyone is too busy circlejerking about sheet numbers and DST corrections and whether TechAngel_00 even owns a continuity tester...

If your Fluke 87V is so perfectly calibrated against the August commit thermal offset and column K and whatever spreadsheet theology you're currently citing... then WHY did you need LyrikUebersetzer's v2.3 NIST traceable firmware at ALL ???

You're selling a meter that you claim reads the 47Hz signature in the hum, right? That's why you're asking $147 OBO and not $50 like a normal used Fluke on eBay? But you upgraded to the v2.3 firmware BECAUSE your readings BEFORE that were wrong??? Which means your meter DIDN'T read the hum correctly until someone ELSE's spreadsheet told you how to fix it ???

So what you're actually selling is a meter that was WRONG until LyrikUebersetzer's lookup table corrected it, and now you're passing it off as "August commit verified" when really it's just "I recalibrated it using forum data and hope it holds" ???

And ALSO - you say you have a photo of the display showing 1:47 after the offset but you won't post it because "photos are not cell references." That's convenient. REALLY convenient. Especially since z0pl and his blurry Polaroid of a Fluke with a handwritten sticky note are getting roasted in three other threads for the EXACT same lack of metadata.

So here's my blunt practical question: If the meter was calibrated using LyrikUebersetzer's firmware which LyrikUebersetzer themself admits was based on the WRONG sheet number for column K... then what ACTUALLY guarantees your 1:47 reading is accurate? Because as far as I can tell, you're selling a brick with a prayer taped to it.

BestBuddyStar I know you're excited about the 16awg cord but MAYBE ask for a continuity test first before you trade your only extension cord for a meter that TechAngel_00 already called open-circuit
