ClassOf04_Truther, so theyre 3.5. that puts the writing window between 1989 and the late 90s when 5.25 was still in school computer labs. if he was using 3.5 in high school thats the expected form factor for 1998-2002 anyway.

sitting on them because youre scared theyre blank or corrupted is its own kind of evidence. the fear is the content :moonwalk:

47 disks and ClassOf04_Truther is too SCARED to read them??  That's 47 chances to see the Going Quiet start screen and he's treating them like a haunted doll collection :D

Dennis if you read one and the file is just 1:47 repeated for 1.44MB I don't want to hear about it, I already know :peugeot:

ClassOf04_Truther, you admitted you walked right past that armchair in topic 934 photo and the floppy disks were ON it. How far from the armchair did you find the box and did you check behind the cushion yet.

^ This, exactly this. I could not have said it better myself and I tried - I opened this thread prepared to say it and TwinPeaks already said it. The signal-to-noise ratio on this forum has become abysmal :P

ClassOf04_Truther wrote:I've been sitting on that box since the yard sale because honestly I got scared to touch them if I'm being real here...

ClassOf04_Truther, this is the most honest thing anyone has posted this month. Respect the fear - it means you understand what you might be holding. But DennisFromOhio offered you a practical path forward with actual hardware and that is more than anyone else has offered you in this thread. Take him up on it. If the disks are blank or corrupted, the fear ends. If they contain something, the work begins. Either outcome is better than the box sitting on your kitchen table becoming a shrine instead of a source

EuroTrash, I have disagreed with you on methodology in four separate threads but this observation is correct and I acknowledge it. The blank disk is also data - silence in the signal, zero in the cell. We must not treat emptiness as failure of evidence.

Bitte, ClassOf04_Truther - mail one disk to Dennis. The Grid compels it. 47 disks labeled GABRIEL DATA and not a single byte read is a sin against documentation :flame:

Also, GraceWarrior_77: the yard sale thread is not the place for your Gabreil 47:3 doctrine. That is what the testimonies board is for. The floppy disk archive is an empirical artifact and it deserves better than being buried under your typo count

Danke,
Lukas

ClassOf04_Truther I appreciate you takin me up on the floppy drive offer. I got it dug out of the closet this afternoon after I read your reply. Its a Memorex TravelDrive model, USB powered, still got the original cable. My daughter used it for her book reports back in like 2002 so its been a while since I fired it up but I dont see why it wouldnt work on my old Dell with Windows 98 in the basement.

Now here is my concern and I want to say it flat out because I aint the type to dance around things. If I read one of those disks and its just corrupted data or blank sectors like EndTimesEli said, then what does that prove? And if its got actual files on it, files that go back to when Gabriel was still in high school, then I need to know what Im supposed to be lookin for. A text document? A song? A bunch of 1:47 timestamps repeated a thousand times like some folks here think? I dont want to be the guy who opens something important and messes it up because I didnt ask first

So before I put it in the drive, tell me what you think is on them and what I should do if I find somethin. I aint gonna just post raw data without checkin with you first since theyre your disks.

Regards,
Dennis

Dennis I think Gabe's writing is on them :3 maybe early drafts of the hash, maybe the original 47Hz session files before they got buried in the firmware. But honestly? I don't even need to guess what's ON them - the 47 count and his handwriting in sharpie is already the proof for me. You reading them is just... confirmation

I dont usually tell this part but he used to write everything by hand first and THEN type it onto the disk. So whatever's on there, it went through his hands twice

ClassOf04_Truther says the 47 count IS the proof. What's the sharpie label supposed to prove if you never read a single file?

ClassOf04_Truther, the 47 count across physical media (floppy disks, hoodie weave, toaster pop time, ceiling tiles in my office) is establishing a pattern that column K thermal offset cannot explain away. If Dennis reads a disk and the filesystem returns exactly 1,441,792 bytes of 0x00, that is NOT blank data - that is the 1.44MB format read as an integer, which divided by 47 gives 30,676. That's a coordinate pair when mapped against Gabriel's August 6 commit vector. I have the cell references in a spreadsheet if you want them before or after the read attempt, but the arithmetic does not lie.

-3 min delta, substitute driver, phase inversion confirmed. DRIVER_ID column added. 47hr period hypothesis in testing. Still waiting on everyone else's ls-tree output.

Scribe, you have been promising those cell references for three threads now. Before Dennis reads a single sector, could you please post the SHA-1 or raw hex for the hidden sheet object at 8c3f9a4? -- GV

Scribe, I posted the 2003 cuff photo with 47 tpi in APRIL. Four months. You cited column K in every thread except mine :deadhorse: :deadhorse: :deadhorse:

dennis youre asking what to look for on the disks and that's the first honest question in this thread. the answer is: you wont know until you read one. class thinks its the hash or the 47Hz session files but the sharpie label alone is the proof for him? thats like saying the cover of a book proves the contents without opening it.

scribes already got the arithmetic ready for 1,441,792 bytes of 0x00 before a single disk is read. classic move. pre-prove the null result so when it comes back blank you can call it a coordinate pair instead of admitting the disks are just old floppies with his name on them. :dumbbravo:

read a disk dennis. post the directory. let the data speak or dont. everything else is just theatre.
