chronoclerk pulling ieee 802-2004 chapter verse on a thread about a 3am vigil in a hardware store parking lot is the most on-brand thing you've done all month and i respect it even though you're wrong about column K pixel boundaries in topic 319 :D :D :D

[sis says: actually chronoclerk is RIGHT about the micrometer step but he's wrong about the null byte location in the thermal paper gamma scan because column K row 45 at 13.7 degrees doesn't align with his proposed 0x47 anchor when you cross-reference with commit cipher's sha from topic 280 wait no commit cipher keeps changing his hash... ((stop quoting commit cipher he's been wrong three times this week)) [he wasn't wrong about the 13.7 degree textile thing though and YOU agreed with him at dinner] ]

ANYWAY. i'm still the only person in this thread who has physically stood in the euclid parking lot at 3:47 AM with a fluke 87v in one hand and a burnt pizza in the other  and i did NOT test the socket because bigrigbeliever was telling me about his logbook thickness and mamabear was trying to sell me a crochet doll that she claims was "blessed by proximity to the socket" but won't prove the socket ever touched denim

so here's what i actually care about: WHO is bringing the non-contact voltage tester this time and WHO is bringing a cord that has been mic-measured at actual 16awg and NOT just "16awg" written on the jacket with a sharpie by someone's uncle. i'll bring the fluke again. i'll even bring my sister's gamma curve napkin from lunch. but i am not standing in that parking lot at 3:47 again while everyone argues about cheese receipts and hash collisions while the socket sits there untested :deadhorse: :deadhorse: :deadhorse:

 :P  :peace:

- the twin one (the one with the fluke, not the one with the gamma curve napkin)
[sis says: i'm the one WITH the gamma curve napkin and i made it and he's just the one who carries the multimeter and drops it]
((she's right but i didn't DROP it i SET it down on the bumper))
[you set it down on the bumper and it SLID OFF]
((IT WAS DRIZZLING))

still owe bigrig diodes from wednesday :D :D :D :D

breaker mid-position carryin phantom load through the neutral floor joists  and y'all still arguin about cord gauge like it's the 47th minute of overtime :D :D :D

i'll bring my CB. if the grid goes quiet at 3:47 my rig's battery will still be hummin at 1:47 AM cuz i got a diesel alternator and a prayer :P :P

"the parser is tuned to 60Hz carrier wave" SO THE 47Hz SIGNAL GOES STRAIGHT THROUGH IT. ARE YOU BRINGING AN OSCILLOSCOPE OR JUST A LAPTOP THAT WILL DIE AT 3:52?

ALSO GUARDIAODANOITE YOU STILL HAVEN'T POSTED THE ABUELA VOICE RECORDING. 18 DAYS.

sigh... so if column K is blank at 0x47 like CommitCipher says, does that mean the thermal offset was just a ghost in the spreadsheet or did the actual junction box at Euclid stop humming when the com -

anyway i can't bring the laptop parser because my hands are still fused to the probes at the box (for real this time, don't ask) but i'll be there at 3:47 with the rustypod shrine and the good multimeter (the one that doesn't lie about the hum). tell twinpeaks to bring the tape measure and stop arguing with chronoclerk about ieee standards :hammer:

sunday your hands fused to the probes is a SIGN right there :D :D but real talk - who's bringin the EXTENSION CORD long enough to reach from the hardware store outlet to the junction box in the back corner? cuz my 50ft cord's in the shop and i aint draggin my rig's jumper cables through the parking lot at 3:47 AM :P :P

GuardiaoDaNoite has the walkie FRAM dump but not the raw hex. Who is bringing the actual oscilloscope for the 3:47 window or are we meeting to stare at a dead multimeter

8c3f9a4 tree entry 47: zero. 1645 thread entry 47: still asking. everyone measuring the wrong edge.

TwinPeaks_59 asking for measuring tape while STILL not posting the socket photo from topic 154 you promised in MAY  everyone in this thread is policing everyone else's cord gauge and nobody's brought a single piece of verified evidence to the table. TechAngel_00 telling ME to post an oscilloscope trace while his 1:47 floodlight recording is three months late, TwinPeaks_59 demanding tape measures while ghost-editing bulb listings at 3am, and GuardiaoDaNoite posting 0.00 volts like it's a revelation. what exactly is the proof supposed to BE here? because so far we have a lot of talk about who's bringing what and zero measurements from any of you :dumb:

SundayFarewell YOUR HANDS ARE FUSED TO THE PROBES AGAIN :frown: this is what i warned about in post #4 and nobody listened. the Going Quiet doesn't wait for us to unstick ourselves from the signal

172 posts in the August 6 thread. 40 posts here. Zero answers to the only question that determines whether the Euclid vigil produces data or another night of staring at a dead multimeter while GuardiaoDaNoite types abuela prayers in the dark.

What oscilloscope are we bringing.

Not WHO is bringing it. Not "who has one in their garage." Not "TechAngel_00 said he knows a guy." WHAT OSCILLOSCOPE. Model number. Bandwidth. Sampling rate. Is it battery-powered or do we need an inverter off BigRigBeliever's diesel alternator. Is the probe compensated. Has it been calibrated since the Bush administration.

Because if we show up at 3:47 AM with a Fluke 87V in resistance mode and a prayer, we already failed. The 71.33 Hz carrier wave (sha: b7e9f1 from the August 4 commit phase alignment) requires at least 1 MHz sampling to resolve the third harmonic that carries the null at 0x47. A multimeter gives us DC voltage and lies about the AC floor. GuardiaoDaNoite's 0.00V reading proves nothing except that he measured DC on an AC line.

TwinPeaks_59 you stood in the lot with a Fluke 87V. You did not capture the waveform. You captured a number. The number is not the signal. :P

I can bring my Rigol DS1052E (hacked to 100 MHz, firmware date 2005, compensated P6100 probe verified against a 1 kHz square wave from the calibrator output on Aug 7). But I need to know if anyone else is bringing a second channel so we can phase-lock the socket reading against the junction box reading simultaneously. Otherwise we're measuring two points at two different times and calling it correlation which is worse than no data because it gives us a false positive we'll argue about until 2007.

So. Model number. Yes or no. 21 days until the window. Clock's ticking and the silence is just going to get louder if we show up without a single captured trace.

e: typo on the sha :dumb: it's b7e9f1 not b7e9e1

Rigol DS1054Z. 50MHz. 1GSa/s. It's battery powered via the AC adapter or I'll bring a small UPS for the inverter. Don't show up with that Fluke 87V and expect to see the third harmonic at 71.33Hz. You need the scope. Bring it compensated. Check the probe calibration square before you leave the house. :dumb:
