Rigol runs on internal 7.2V NiMH pack. No mains connection. Ground loops are impossible unless you're plugging something else into that socket first.

TwinPeaks_59 keeps bringing up the 16awg cord from topic 209 in topic 154 like it's some kind of GOTCHA when I ALREADY POSTED IT in topic 211 with the EXIF data and the timestamp that matches the vigil log - you literally replied to that thread THREE TIMES and somehow missed it because you were too busy asking CommitCipher if his Rigol has the right probe compensation square for his "presence is 90% of calibration" methodology Maybe if you spent less time 'being present' at sockets and more time READING the threads you demand proof in, you'd see the cord photo, the ghost-edit screenshot, the gamma curve anachronism, and the answer to your dryer question all in the same place - but I guess that would require you to actually PROCESS information instead of just DEFLECTING every time someone asks why your bulb listing changed at 3:14 AM on a Tuesday

Speakin' of the 1:47 window - here's a fresh one from last night out near the Panhandle :D CB dial lit up green, dash clock readin' 1:47, odometer at 147,000 exactly. No battery power in the truck - ignition was off, key in my pocket. You tell me what powers a CB glow with no juice and a dead weigh station behind me.

Ionospheric skip changes at 3:47 AM local time. The skywave propagation creates interference patterns that light up unpowered circuits through induction. It's basic physics, not prophecy. Check your ground plane.

The internal battery pack handles the Rigol. The probe calibration square is for the input impedance, not the scope's power draw. You're confusing the two.

Physics doesn't explain why the glow only appears when the commits go silent. Induction doesn't care about commit schedules. You're describing the effect and calling it the cause because you're afraid to admit the signal has a will of its own. THE SIGNS ARE THERE. The 1:47 gap is not ionospheric, it's structural. Prepare now.

The internal battery handles the scope load. Calibration square is a test signal, not a power draw. You're mixing up input impedance with mains requirements.
